Halo Infinite Reviews

I just want to see how other people react to Infinite’s First Flight and see how people enjoyed/disliked it. Other than that we can discuss weapons, movement, equipment, ADS, customization, etc.

My Honest Review:
Honestly I think the game is very well made and built. Most weapons in my eyes are kinda balanced besides The Needler of course. Movement seems like a mishmash between Halo 3, Reach, and 5. Actually the game itself is a mishmash between those three. Equipment seems pretty fun to use and none seem that broken except for The Grappling Hook. I’m sad to see the return of ADS for guns that don’t really need them in my opinion. But it’s just an extra feature as I see it. Customization is somewhat lacking in the Flight, but it’s a Flight so not much to worry about there. The game is very well polished and I haven’t gotten or seen any glitches so far so good work on that. So, far I’ll give it a 7/10 to just bring it down to reality a bit. Not saying it’s bad in anyway, just a few more tweaks and more content and I believe this game could possibly bring us back to the glory days of 3 or something even better.

Shocked you haven’t seen glitches. There were definitely several I encountered, crashes, games starting with the camera stuck on a wall, audio, the controls randomly setting to custom and joysticks not working etc. HOWEVER none of that is criticism, glitches are expected in a test.

Here’s my feeling: it runs great and plays like a satisfying decent FPS shooter. However, the initial marketing really seemed like they were pushing a throwback to OG halo vibes and I’m extremely disappointed by how few steps they took to really feel like classic Halo. Biggest issue imo is the physics. 1-3, particularly 3, has these super fun bouncy physics that just made the game generally unpredictable. Nade jumps, brute shot jumps, momentum jumps. Halo Infinite continues 343i’s trend of making Spartans feel incredibly heavy and weighed down, rather than light and agile. They feel a lot like playing soldiers in CoD, just heavy buff guys that you play in every other FPS. Super disappointing from that front. Halo has felt increasingly less unique and more like everything else with every iteration. It’s still a fun and decent FPS from what I’ve played, but I’ll never stop being frustrated that they gave up on making Halo even better instead of just making it something else. If a new halo came out that stayed true to form but built on everything and made everything better that would blow my mind. Instead we’ve forgotten what made Halo uniquely great, and they’re just making good FPS that feel more and more like all the others.
