So if they don’t release it on that date, they missed a brilliant marketing opportunity.

Wouldn’t it make more sense to release the game on November 7th to avoid the superfluous number 1?

Not all games release on a tuesday. Many new games these days release on a Friday. Gears 5 released on Friday, September 6th. Ori and the Will of the Wisps released on a Wednesday. Nintendo released the Switch and all of its day one exclusives on a Friday, The Xbox One and all of its day one exclusives released on a friday. The Playstation 4 and its day one exclusives released on a friday.

I can’t be certain of course, but I think there is a good chance Halo Infinite will release before Destiny 2 Beyond Light.
