Halo Infinite Pulse Rifle

Due to not receiving a survey, I wanted to put my two cents in on what I noticed. For the Pulse Rifle I believe the gun may need a nerf. The gun itself doesn’t actually seem to be overpowering, however using it with a combo whether that be a br, commando or side kick it is extremely deadly. If you connect all 3 rounds with Pulse Rifle it is a one shot to the head with any of the 3 weapons mentioned above. I don’t know if anyone else has actually tested this. I also don’t know if this was intentional but it’s like using the noob combo except way more effective. I hope there will be a flight with custom games so we can actually test the balance of weapons.

I get what your saying about using it like a noob combo. But, I think the gun is bad. Too kill a bot with it was hard. I imagine it would be harder against another player. The overheat time was quick and the gun being burst firing makes it worse because now your wasting overheat shots on shots that will miss due to its slow projectile speed. The gun needs rebalanced entirely in my opinion. We have one noob combo… we don’t need 2.

I completely agree. I don’t believe it was designed to be used as a combo but the way it sits now its the only way to make it effective. It’s easy to miss but easy to not miss. Lol if that makes sense. If your reticle is red your connecting all 3 rounds due to the heat seeking projectiles.

The projectile speed definitely looks slower than in the campaign demo from last year. I actually felt it was pretty meh to use in the tech preview - very slow and clunky.

The projectiles are so slow that while bots didn’t dodge them to easily players were dodging them with next to no effort.

The tracking it does was a hindrance against players because you couldn’t aim ahead of a moving target due to the bullets going directly at the player.

Its projectile speed needs upped or they need to remove the tracking and let players aim ahead of targets.
