I just received an email saying My art of halo infinite book I ordered will be arriving in January 2022… does this mean halo infinite could be delayed or am I looking too far into this?
I would say you’re looking too far into it. It’s possible they may make changes after another round of public reception but I suspect they would be minor in the art and graphics world for what they would include in the book. Making the changes and getting everything approved in the publishing world can be a lengthy process at times. I know on websites like Amazon, they state right in the description for the book that the release date for the book is subject to change.

Highly doubt it would be delayed. I see the Holiday 2021 date they set to be two things. One, they want to try to get it out in September to get ahead of other shooters without adding the pressure, or two, they may release in late December as a worst case scenario.
I’m sincerely hoping that it doesn’t get pushed back, there would be quite a lot of angry fans that’s for sure! I feel like if it’s not quite ready then just release it as a beta and go from there. I know everyone has stated “when it’s ready” but even I’m getting to the end of that now haha, I need something to sink my teeth into!

No, they delayed the Art Book because it has spoilers
from what i gathered bits and pieces of info here and there, the development of the game right now is much better in comparison to 2020, and the overtimes are less, the main problem is when people quitting the studio ( for the number of reasons ) they need to hire the contractor asap to developing the game externally and unfortunately it will cause many unnecessary back and forth between the development team because right now big part of the team relies on contractors, and on top of it if the tooling having a deep problems, the game needs to be delayed like 2020 showcase, but the good thing is, right now they have full support from technical team at coalition so that heavy lifting got better.
personally i’m always good with delay’s as long as they fix the game and doing justice to the franchise name and reputation.

Doubt it’ll be September since they said it’s coming in the holidays, likely going to be November/December just based on that but still, they could just change it if they really want.
im curious how December would be worst case though, that’s typically when everyone’s getting them Christmas gifts and such and that’s the best time to capitalize on sales. If halo is the better shooter then it won’t need to really worry about the other shooters either.
Art books are typically released after a game release. Mainly to avoid spoilers and such.
I wouldn’t look to deep into the fact your product was shifted back in release.
Concept Art & Designs were likely finished well before the game was in its current development stage.
Worried that could be the case because so far the game comes out in like 4 to 6 months and my worry is that it might not be enough fighting time to make sure that the games ready for launch.

I do too however logically it does make sense. The changes from the insider beta happen a lot quicker now with the new engine. We will find out though later this summer.
