Halo infinite player settings in Halo 5

So I’ve been analyzing the gameplay footage and there have been some very noticeable tweaks (especially strafe speed) in movement/gravity in halo infinite. My goal is to mimic these halo infinite settings onto halo 5 to get the best possible replica. Considering the H2BR is kind of overpowered (despite it basically being the BR in halo infinite) the weapon of choice will be the “classic sight” Battle Rifle.
For anyone who has tried creating a halo infinite game mode in halo 5, what do you believe are the most accurate settings? Hopefully several of us can boil down different settings till we find the perfect balance!

Did u find the settings

ive actually tried my hand at recreating the gameplay seen in the demo. honestly, its trickier than I thought it would be. for example, in the demo, sprint is considerably slower than in h5, but still faster than the base movement speed (which has stayed the same). in the h5 settings for sprint, the closest settings I can get (don’t remember the exact % numbers, sorry) is one where its close but still too fast and the next just below that which is slow to the point that you are not even sprinting. the desirable speed setting would be between these two.

slide is also toned down, but not by much, so just decrease the slide distance by one or two.

thrusters, charge, boost, ground pound, stabilizers are all disabled

Halo 2 BR is OP. This is a first. And how is that?

A little off topic but I’ve bolded the section I’m responding to.

Is this true? I think it’s very likely to be true, however another user recently provided me a number of gifs which seem to show that Sprint is the same speed as normal running. White very interesting, I find this hard to believe to be real, however I wanted to share it here still.

Here is their response to me. Overall I agree that sprint in Halo Infinite appears to be slower than it was in Halo 5: Guardians. I am still unclear on the amount of speed it grants.

you wont be able to replicate it. slide can be activated instantly when sprint is activated. halo 5 requires you to sprint for a second before activating slide. infinite also lets you slide left and right.

i dont think base movement is faster eithier. its the change of direction thats faster.

plus infinite will have projectile aiming and less bullet magnetism from the looks of it.

I’m interested in this to. Could have a mixture of projectile and hitscan with precision weapons.

Personal guess… we’re going to be able to find upgrades to change certain weapons (looking at you BR) from projectile based to hit scan based projectiles.

@OP I think you’ll be able to get pretty close to the movement of infinite by just showing everything down in H5 for the most part. The demo looked to me like most of the movement H5 has exists in Infinite, just slower in general

Awesome feedback guys, I’m gonna keep testing these out till we find the most accurate settings. Anyone wanna playtest?
