Halo: Infinite Photo Mode

This is my first ever post using the Halo forum, this is such an interesting place… I love it! Maybe this is specific post isn’t the best way to push this idea but I’m here to make my case that Halo: Infinite needs to have an established in-game photo mode. I’m a photographer in nature, and spend a great deal of time capturing and creating meaning within frames, and on planet Earth their is a massive variety of emotions and scenes to capture. But, I’m sensing a trend that video game photography is coming around because it offers users a chance to capture the moments THEY think stir emotion in them and change the framing and edit the composition and colors within a scene. Halo is the pinnacle with the established community and lore allowing a photo mode allows even more immersion into the halo universe and let them build and tell the stories that are important to them. I hope this is considered it would really be a game changer for the community and inclusion of others via social media. Thanks!

If you’d like to see some of the photos I’ve taken in game in things like Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Shadow of the Tomb Raider and others you can find me on Xbox at CUP3 or VSCO @trevoramrein

It sounds great but the Xbox already has those I guess it could work pc players and helps the people who can’t use the Xbox captures so yeah why not

Regardless if Infinite has a photo mode, using the Xbox photo capture is bound to capture some beautiful scenery because Infinite looks absolutely gorgeous.

Definitely, but the thing I don’t like about the Xbox photo capture is you really have to time it right. Unless I’m missing something it seems to me that you have to hit the xbox button at the perfect moment to get some of the scenes I want. I would just enjoy being able to have an in-game function to maybe make it easier to capture but already be able to edit it in-game as well.

The thing missing with all the new Halo titles is a really fleshed out theater mode. I think what Halo 3 and Halo: Reach did best was make a community based around the captured moments that you can’t find every day. This goes for whether it was comical or artistic, you could always find something that spread like wildfire in the Halo community that brought something new and different to the table. I remember finding awesome maps, game modes, pictures, etc. in peoples’ file shares and it was incredible to see what you could find. I agree that maybe with an in-game photo editing people could make amazing creations all through the medium of Halo.

A good photo mode will be awesome and needed for a healthy community.

I’m talking about something like Forza games have and it could be included in existing Theater mode.
Ability to change saturation, luminosity, contrast, sharpness, blur, depth field, aperture, camera inclination, levelling zoom, effects etc.

I wrote something about this in my xbox profile feed and many people are interested in having better tools, but very few of them took time to come here for shouting there enthusiasm…
I also made a topic about photo mode here.

Slipspace looks great and with powerful tools we, the community, will be able to make this game even better.
Just let our talented people demonstrate and express their talents :camera_flash:
