Halo Infinite on Xbox One also, SO SAD

Hello All,

I just found out Halo Infinite is coming out on Xbox One also not just the Series X…
That means its going to not be as good as it could be. So ashamed., They have to tone down for Xbox One.

Covid 19 virus or not don’t reduce quality of a game that should be all Next Gen gaming.
https://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/halo-infinite
That made me sick more then all the other things i disliked.

There goes all the quality out of the window. Probably why the video was not so great the Trailer probably was Xbox One version not Series X.
What does everyone else think about this?

Im glad it releases on Xbox One. I will eventually get an series X but until then I want to enjoy what of Infinite I can in the comforting mindset that, Infinite will play and run better on Series X anyway. Until I get series X, I want to experience the new Halo asap as soon as they have finally polished the game.

HOWEVER

I hope the case is that they make Halo Infinite optimized and buildt for Series X, NOT XB One. And NOT the opposite. Much smarter move to have the game version downgraded for older console than upgrade for new one. Meaning if it was build ground up for XB One, there WILL be more work, cost of resources and counter intuitive to go from there to make it optimalized for the Series X upon and older, weaker console generation…

At least thats my take…

Well they say its optimized for Xbox Series X but still the fact that it will be on Xbox One just makes me think less enemies & less exciting forge with less to do because Xbox One will want access to it all. But hopefully they take the GTA 5 way about it. GTA 5 on 360 does not have no where near the content of Xbox One version,
But just the fact it will be on Xbox One also scares me because i want it to be the best it could be not and I love FORGE and if its under what it could be i would be so sad and disappointed in that, I want the game to just be all it can be.

Every time i see its coming out on a older console that just means to me that the the game is not all it could be. That is why I hate it so much when i see it. Also graphics is nice but i rather have a decent graphic game with tons and tons of content not a super beautiful game that can be beat in 8 hours.
Every single halo game can be beat in pretty much 8 hours. An that is also sad.

I don’t even care if it comes out with Xbox Series X release or even 2 years from now just long as its the best they can pump into the game.

Yes, but as long as you aware and prepared that the experience on XBO might be a bit more limiting, obviously but still grounded up for Series X and thats the safe future anyway for Halo Infinite. Its not really doom and gloom. If it were as i said, the other way around…
Only negative thing if you want to play on the XBO first, is the first impressions. Again keeping the limitations in mind.
i think a known saying is in place for this.

" Expect totally winning and then to be losing will make the fall twice as dire and brutal, if not more so. Expect not much at all that it dosent go the way you hoped for lessens if not equalize the fall, while if getting what you hoped for occurs… you will skyrocket with a joyful experience "

I might have modified this saying a bit cough

Lol the trailer was definitely not on an Xbox One. If an Xbox One could manage such a clean image as that there’d be no need to upgrade lol. Like don’t get me wrong, the trailer didn’t look “next gen”, but it definitely didn’t look like an OG Xbox One could do it.

It would have been recorded on Series X - equivalent hardware, either a representative PC or a devkit. Most of the GPU load should be scalable. That’s probably how Slipspace was designed given that it will scale across both console and PC. Pushing an open world is, however, incredibly taxing on the CPU, and we want to keep the same gameplay on the base Xbox One as on the Series X/S. ie. Same number of enemies, same AI behaviour, at 60fps.

So while it’s probably fake news that the graphics look bad because of the Xbox One version. It might not be fake news to say that level complexity, number of enemies, AI and sound could be held back. But I notice that the complaints are about the graphics, not the gameplay, so maybe there’s no reason to worry about the xbox one version after all

The xbox one version is coming out. https://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/halo-infiniteThe link is from Xbox website not any other website and it says if you scroll down Xbox Series X - Xbox One - Windows 10 PC

But yeah i hear ya but still the fact it being on the old console we have now means maybe they could have made map bigger or more open sight lines to see ever further because of the better performance of the Next Gen Xbox and all that.

I know? I’m saying the trailer clearly wasn’t running on Xbox One like you suggested in the original post

We have many threads on the Xbox One/XSX discussion, feel free to continue this discussion on one of those.
