Halo infinite on the OG Xbox one

I have a feeling this game is going to look like dog water But I could be wrong what do you guys think

I’m not sure if it would be a fair comparison, but I have a friend that plays Call of Duty on an OG Xbox One.

I asked him if there was a problem with loading or graphics or frame rate and he’s never complained. Could just be him though so I should look up a comparison video.

That said if it does turn out that a game like that can still be run on the original hardware, maybe Infinite won’t have as much trouble either?

Depends on how the handle it. Halo 5 looks great, even on OG X1. It will probably look OK on its own but ‘meh’ if you compare to high end PCs and XsX.

I am curious how exactly they will pull it off and if there is a third-party studio handling the X1 version.

i’m pretty sure it’s not going to be worse than last E3 showcase. it’s something between halo 4 and halo 5 guardian but with better lighting.

It’ll look comparable to Halo 5, but the draw distance will be terrible to accommodate the semi open world.

You don’t really see the issues when it’s what you’re used to. If he tried playing the same game on a Series X in full 4K he would notice how poor it performs on the OG Xbox.

This is a great point, I had not considered another company’s assistance and how that can impact the game’s development.

I’m sure it’ll be okay but I’m not about ‘good’!

I agree.

They were very wise bringing this to the Xbox one. Imagine if it was series x only; say goodbye to sale numbers. I don’t count the series s since it’s not that big of a “next gen” upgrade (except for loading times) compared to the one x.

Next gen is about more than just pixels on the screen. The Series S’s processing power is superior compared to the Xbox One X. Games made to run from the ground up on Xbox Series S and Series X will have a lot more going on. Bigger battles, more assets on screen better AI and more. There are already games on the horizon that are Series S and X only, about time too.

On topic. Halo Infinite should look good and run well on Xbox One because it was built for Xbox One. If it was built for Series S and X it would be an inferior port on Xbox One consoles imo.

I’m afraid that they will limit the forge so that the maps run on xbox one og

I fully agree but it’s still not that big of an upgrade. If you have an one x, it makes not much sense to go for an series s unless you like small storage capacity.

Regarding the AI we have to see it in-game. So far the Halo CE AI is far superior to Halo 5 imo.

Since it’s also being developed for PC, the engine should be highly scalable to run on all kinds of systems. If it’s not, that’s 343s fault.

Reach from the Xbox 360 still looks great on the Xbox One. It still surprises me how great that game looks today. So in reason infinite shouldnt have any issues on the One

That’s not true. The Series S will run many games at up to 120fps. That alone is a big deal to many gamers.
