Infinite is confirmed for Xbox one so don’t worry. If anything it would be a cross gen title. But honestly I hope this is the last Xbox one Halo game, and the new console launches with a new Halo title.

Right Here. Exclusively on Xbox One and Windows 10. When I searched this too I found rurmors that at e3 Halo Infinite would launch with the next gen Xbox to. Interesting.

I think it could still be a launch title for the next gen even if it’s on Xbox One and Windows 10. That whole “exclusively” part seems like it’s just there to remind people that this isn’t going to be on PS4 or any other non-Microsoft owned systems/services.
I expect a Halo Follower video on this rumor on the double XD
Hopefully its available on current gen I don’t got the money to be buying next gen consoles yet.

From another article relating to this subject they said it would launch on Xbox One and the Next Gen with full crossplay support. Honestly, that sounds about right from the little information we’ve been getting.

Well that’s good my Xbox one is pretty much the only console I own since I really only play halo and just got a ps4 so I’m not really in shape to get anther console especially a brand new one.

343i have stated that Halo Infinite will be an Xbox One game. However, some of us believe it will launch on Xbox One and the next gen.
There’s some confusing messages going round, which may be causing people to “worry about nothing”. So let’s check some facts:
(1) On Reddit, Frank O’Connor has confirmed that Infinite is being developed for the “current XBox One family and Windows 10 PC”, so you WILL be able to play Infinite on your original XB1, 1S or 1X. Those consoles all have a good few years life in them yet!
(2) At CES 2019 in January, Head of XBox Phil Spencer appeared onstage with Head of AMD Lisa Su to confirm that XBox is continuing their partnership with AMD for the processors and graphics chips for the Next Gen Consoles. So, that means:
(a) the new consoles will have the same type of AMD x86 chips running Windows 10 and DirectX for games (just like PC’s), so there should be ZERO Forwards or Backwards Compatibility problems this time (unlike X360 to XB1 era, where the basic underlying chip type changed).
(b) As upgrades, we can reasonably expect a new more powerful XBox S2 and X2, which can also play your entire current XBox One Games Library (incl. Back Compat Halo:Reach etc). Knowing the types of chips AMD are making now, expect the XBox S2 around PS4 Pro power, and X2 up to twice the power of the One X.
(c) So, just like current “Xbox One X Enhanced” games can have higher framerates and/or resolutions, on top of the OG XB1 and 1S versions of Halo Infinite, it and other new games can now also be “One X, S2 and X2 Enhanced”. That’s why Halo Infinite could be both “made for XB1” and “a Next-Gen launch title”!
(3) Always remember this: Microsoft and Sony actually make very little money off their game console hardware: they usually charge just above cost price to make the console, although the PS4 Slim now sells just below cost price so actually makes a small loss. This is because most of their income and profit comes from the games, content and XBox Live subscriptions etc., that we buy for our consoles. That’s why when the One X was coming out (and will apply for S2 and X2), Phil Spencer said "If you’re sticking with 1080p and your OG XBox One and just want to buy new games, you’re a great customer for us!" Only a minority have upgraded to a One S or X, so most of the 30+ Million Xbox Ones sold are still OG models - since that’s where most of the playerbase are (for Halo or other games), of course it makes sense for 343i to make Infinite for OG XB1 - that’s where most of the Infinite buyers are still going to be in 2020 or whenever the new consoles come out - and 343i know it. Again “No player left behind” phrase. 
So, the “S2 and X2” will be part of the same family as XB1, just newer and more powerful models of the current ones, leaving everyone years to save up for the upgrade, before Devs start dropping support for OG XB1 and One S (assuming your console is still working and doesn’t need replacing anyway).
Meanwhile, XB1 will be getting the XCloud Streaming App, so even when Game Devs do finally start dropping support for the older OG XB1 and 1S consoles in the years to come, you could simply stream the new games (on a monthly/yearly subscription like Gamepass now)! Again, “No player left behind”!

Halo infinite is confirmed to come out for XBox One - Yes, there is a 99.9% that Hi will ALSO be a launch title for XBox Scarlet. That doesn’t mean it will not come out for Xone. Cross-gen games are a thing since SNES times folks. - No, Halo Infinite is almost certainly NOT being released in 2019 - Gears 5 is already scheduled for the that time frame.Got more questions with an obvious answer? Hahaha!

I was holding out a bit of hope for spring 2020 but it would honestly be foolish of -Yoink!- not to release it as a launch title alongside the new console even if it is backwards compatable. Still tho…5 years. If 343 cannot absolutly nail it 9.5-10/10 with that much time and money after the fans will have waited that long after a clifhanger then i dont think anyone will ever care about their games again. After all if they cant nail it in 5 how would they ever do it in 3 years. I really believe that while the extra time will probably make a better game it also means that if infinite fails halo falls for good.
If Halo Infinite was to somehow fail it wouldn’t mean the end of halo at all.

It’s confirmed Xbox one but it will most likely be cross-platform.

You stated you read an article that said it would be for the new console and Xbox One. As far as I’m aware that’s just speculation. I don’t think it’s been confirmed for the new consoles. I merely pointed out that it is a confirmed Xbox One release, and some think it will be on next gen too.
They’ve confirmed it will be on XB1, that doesn’t mean it can’t also be on next gen xbox as well though.
