Halo infinite notes on test.

I’m hoping I found the right stop for feed back.
I would like to say that over all as a long time halo player. this is the closes I’ve felt to having the same kind of fun I use to have when I can home from high school sat down and played with friends for hours before doing homework and going to bed, I do have a few nit picks mostly this idea to get rid of team color as if friendly fire was on I would have been kicked many times over for team kills with a simper or spike launcher thing (I keep forgetting the name of). it’s red vs blue for reason it’s easy to tell whos on year team and outlines of blue and red is just not cutting it for me and I would guess many others from the number of times I was shot o hit in the face with a nade.
Last nit pick is the armor and not being able to paint the way I want but it’s not that big a deal.

but over It’s really fun so far hope you keep it up 343 this might be the one.
PS: love the hook on small maps and that it has limited uses.

I can definitely agree with the outlines as opposed to red vs blue. I find myself just aiming for the blue Spartans, which is fine for the tech demo (aside from doing double-takes at players wearing blue too), but that won’t work in PvP.

I understand it’s because of Coatings, but still having armour customisation renders that argument obsolete: you can still express personalisation through your armour, with Reach being the best example. Being able to distinguish between friend and foe is far more important in a video game, surely?

Last. notes on this test. I love what you did you sprint the feeling of slide coming off (insert chef kiss) and the Ability to catch your self when you walk off the map backwards was awesome

I have to agree with your thoughts on the team color. I totally get wanting to allow customizations to shine through, and how 343 solved it is a creative solution, but I was constantly confused about friend or foe all weekend long. Did I figure it out after an instant? Yes, but that instant usually was enough for me to lose a 1 on 1, especially given I’m not an ace player by any means. I can hold my own, but giving up a half-second while my brain processes a thin color outline means I’ve gone from having a slim chance to guaranteed death. Against the bots it wasn’t as much of an issue, but during the brief Slayer test the lack of a hard contrast between teams was really crippling at times.

And yeah, thank god there was no friendly fire penalty, I’d have been banned six times over. lol.

But overall, amazing experience. So much fun. There’s a ton I’ll miss from H5’s sort of messy, wildly expanded multiplayer universe, but still. So much new to discover.
