We are now almost a third into this year and still no Infinite news. The most we’ve gotten is a cutscene from the start of the game, but we have heard NOTHING in the way of features or gameplay of any kind. Was kind of hoping that after the disaster that was the Halo 5 marketing they’d learn their lesson, but I see that they find new ways to irritate and annoy their fans. You’d think that they would have given us something by now since E3 isn’t happening, I’m not asking for much – just some communication with the people that have tortured themselves by sticking with 343 and this 10 year drought of little to no content.
Expect something around June or July as this was when E3 was supposed to occur. Halo Infinite is a launch title for the Series X and as a result it will be shown to its audiences close the release of the console. How exactly have people been “tortured” in this “10 year drought”?
During Microsofts’ ‘E3’ livestream in june. Anything significant wont drop before then.
If you feel you’ve been tortured for 10 years, you should probably just walk away. No way in hell any one video game is going to make up for a decade of pain. Drop that expectation bar a few notches and just occupy your time with something else until the game is properly unveiled. No sense getting worked up until then.
To be fair, them not saying anything early is probably a better response to H5’s marketing then saying a bunch a good distance before release. H5 marketing was also well known to be completely separate from the team in general. They essentially worked separately so what Marketing was pushing was one idea (which was extremely small in the grand scope of H5).
I am just gonna wait for June/July when most news will most likely start rolling out. No need to really do anything sooner
Microsoft has already stated that they are having a digital event to replace E3. We don’t know when that will be, I’d assume around the same time as E3 would’ve been so mid June, you’ll get news there. Maybe some little teases before that who knows.
Most likely in June.
Last year, 343 said that “E3 2020 will be big for Infinite” and since E3 was officially cancelled, we can assume we’ll get an online event probably in June.
If the game is launching in October or November (“Holiday”), they have to say something fairly soon or the game’s going to release lol.
I’ll be shocked if we don’t hear something before June about the multiplayer beta.
We already have plenty of tread concerning the lack of news and/or when we can expect to get new info:
- ANYONE ELSE FRUSTRATED BY THE LACK OF NEWS? - HALO INFINITE OR AN INFINITE LACK OF INFO? - KEEP YOUR EYES ON XBOX SERIES X FOR INFINITE NEWS!In those you’ll find all your answers based on all official news we got so far! Please consider that this is the most important XSX launch title, so of course information will be related to the new console presentation around the same time E3 was supposed to happen, if not a bit later due the Covid-19 situation. It’s frustrating to say the least, I understand it quite well, but even if H4/5/MCC would have been acclaimed master-pieces, the situation would have been the same right now.
Yea a little news would be great… I keep looking to see if they add anything to the shop to be honest. Not that I have money to blow. Just to look at. Ha.
Not exactly ‘news’, but there is this video about them working on making sound-effects for vehicles…
Also them sharing gameplay this early would be a big no-no. How would you feel if you saw an example of the gameplay NOW, and then it’s radically different by release? Would it have been worth it?
I would guess we will get information by late May to mid June
They said this years E3 will be huge for infinite, so i’m assuming some gameplay footage perhaps, and a date for the beta (hopefully a release date but with the covid situation who knows) should come out around mid-June.

Yeah, sure. They’re going to make whole new game in less than six months with new movement mechanics, a different sandbox and the entire level designs remodeled around it. Dude, the game is basically finished!
In this phase there might be tweaks, some assets might still get textured correctly too, but the rest is ““just”” debugging and testing. This is not why they’re not showing the game right now in April 2020!

Or they could just not lie to begin with and actually have the full team working on the same project. But apparently that’s unreasonable so let’s just fire the marketing team.
accidentally double posted on mobile. I swear this happens at least once every year.

yup but let’s have some fun with the breadcrumbs here. Everyone is cheering until they pass out on the hills. The sound artist are doing work. I’m going to party city to celebrate. If they announce at digital-e3 that the coders started coding then I’ll buy 343 even more pizza. This is the hype that AAA games deserve.

’this early’ If the release is this holiday and we are in April, then and bare with me here. What if we had a beta nearly a year before launch. I know shocking, just look at h5 beta 2014 dec through 2015 Jan. Then look at 2015 oct h5, radically different. Except not really as they adjusted primarily the lighting and sounds with a few scope and map adjustments. Or look at the Halo Wars 2 Beta that was released in June 13-20th 2016 whilst the game launched February 2017. What radically changed? Was it worth it? What did they do?! … they patched bugs, seems pretty worth it to me. What does all of this mean? It means we could’ve had the beta already and helped improve the launch of HI for the general audience yet you feel this isn’t needed.
There’s word going around of two Microsoft online events later. One will be May 5, 2020. Heard Halo Infinite might be at the end of that one or the 2nd one (can’t recall the date of that, if they even said so). Don’t sweat the lack of concrete news regarding Halo Infinite. This is probably to avoid over hyping Halo Infinite the same way they did Halo 5.
Yeah, I heard Microsoft will do an online stream in May, we just gotta wait and see what shows up for us. They did reveal a Red Hunter figure so it’s possible the Banished will be in Halo Infinite.
I’d be lying if I said I haven’t Googled “Halo Infinite news” at least twice a day.

Don’t fall for that, as the rumor came from -Yoink!-, which automatically sends a red flag. We’ll more than likely have to wait until some point int June to get gameplay and news on the game.

This I can nod to. Sounds alot more realistic.
