The Master Chief Collection on the Steam Workshop improves a nearly perfect game in its current state. Infinite is FAR superior to where it was at launch, but it’s still FAR from a finished or acceptable Halo game. Adding Halo Infinite to the Steam Workshop is a natural move to improve this game. Broader modding support will expand the lifespan of Halo Infinite well toward its ten-year mark.
As for console players, 343i needs to find a way with both Halo Infinite and the MCC to implement mods that aren’t cheap into matchmaking experiences crossplay for both PC and consoles. Although I understand the reasoning, I don’t like that you cannot play mods without disabling the anti-cheat. What about new content, weapons, maps, and modes that cannot become playable online with friends because of this restriction?
Nah, currently-supported games that have enough kinks to work out, like Infinite… Really do not need a Workshop. MCC is a different environment entirely.
MCC is also for old games that have lived out their lifespan. I think at the moment, Infinite should just be dev stuff (especially if the engine is as bad as claimed), and later down the line mod tools can be made.
you can tell if i got it wrong or not on this point.
but has 343 notting to tell at all if there wane let mods works for the console also like you can do easy on the pc that there need the permision first from microsoft since its there console in the first place if there allow it or not on there console’s.
