I hope these observations reach Joseph Staten
I have bee thinking that the game has improved a lot since the showcase last year however i need to urgentyly add some points here, i need someone at 343 to hear me:
- Vehcile explosions are bland and mediocre
- When you make an attack with the gravity hammer in in a metal floor, it doesnt sound like you are hittting metal, just soil ground. Doesn´t feel convincing.
- Grunts are too small compared the the whole environment, it feels like they were placed there after all the world was designed and in a rushed way. Grunts and brutes still feel low quality, with few shadows.
- Game lacks on particle effects and volumetric fog.
- Weapon firing and melee elbow attack doesnt have any effect from enemy shields or their armor. For example the shoutgun should leave marks on the enemy armor and on walls and different materials, shrapnel is needed.
- When brutes are knocked down they still have their eyes open.
- The tank explosion on the forrunner camp lacks credible animations, just opens up in 1 animation.
This game should be at least be hight in last gen standards.
