Well… I’ll get straight to the point. Not much was shown, disappointing a little bit but expected due to the current times I think. So it’s ok that little was shown, as long as the finished product can make up for it and be held to a high standard of course. If you cannot deliver, than delay it. But that aside, let’s discuss what I think about the game judging from the gameplay.
So number 1, seeing Sprint in the game. Look, I’m actually surprised you STILL add’d that in the game despite the epic level of debate it causes and can at times lead to doubt because it gives us a small idea on what gameplay will be like, which brings me to the grapple hook. Now this hook scares the “Infinite” hell outta me. Mainly because this ability in itself should not even touch multiplayer. This is not Titanfall bro, so I hope to god this is only a single player feature. If this was in multiplayer I could only imagine what this could mean, especially for someone like me. What I mean by this, is that I’m a Sangheili player. I love the Elites, but this hook in itself could literally mean Elites are not in multiplayer… AGAIN dude… How frickin dumb would that be despite the massive demand for them, not just on here, but everywhere on the net. The Arbiter as a character is literally a symbol of that demand. 343i knows this. I mean, they have to right? I mean, I can see an Elite using a plasma like version of a hook, but would 343i have the same mentality? Unlikely, since all they care about is Esports XD. Elites are a selling point for me. They have to be in multiplayer for me to even THINK about buying this game. But that is just me.
Overall though, I love the game. Of all that is Holy I’m so excited for Infinite. I just really hope that if this is going to be called a spiritual reboot, that it holds true to a claim like that. Because I’m going to be a very picky -Yoink- about it. LOL. Aren’t you? I’m pumped though. Everything besides my obvious and major concerns, this game looks like 343i’s key to redemption, it certainly holds much more potential than H5 or H4. Just let me know if Playable Elites are coming back, if you have them, then you have my support. I have been asking for their return since Reach. Don’t Abandon me 343i, I never abandoned you.
