So after 2 hours of playing the flight, I immediately noticed the difference in music from Halo 4 and 5. Halo 4 and 5 had a more sci fi type. Infinite has a much more Halo-y feel to it with the chorus in the menu and I love it so much. What do you guys think?
When I first logged in to the test build, I was blown away by how beautiful the new rendition of the Halo theme was. It is absolutely mesmerizing. I enjoy the music very much.

The music is definitely different. Reminds me of some indie church band type -Yoink-. The drums and dramatic choir sound are pretty cool. Definitely something you’d hear off of an indie alt rock band from 2013 though lmao.

It has a cyberpunk type feel with a halo-ish undertone that’s at least how I hear it. The menu however gives a way more halo feel. Also please don’t go that way.

Weird didn’t know halo music was cyberpunk with a halo ish undertone… That sentence in its self explains the music is nothing halo and sucks. Going what way lol you mean having a strong opinion… Geez sensitive people in the community these days:joy:

Yeah my bad I don’t know Halo at all what I instead should have said was that the music was nice but it should have a more halo-y feel than cyberpunk. I should know this by now. I’m so dumb

Yeah, 343 is doing a great job with the music.
This music hits right in the feels. Nostalgic AND fresh. Kudos to 343i for this. I hope they make the tracks available for listening!
Some of the music sounds pretty new, there’s a very guitar focused song that doesn’t really remind me that much of Halo, but it sounds good still. But there’s certainly a lot of very Halo-y sounding songs, too, which is great
The music is very good. It’s definitely very on brand for Halo, without just being a reprisal of previous soundtracks.

Yeah agreed. Listen to the CE Sound track. O’Donnell was a magician of sound. I don’t know if he did the soundtrack for infinite, but if he did I dunno what happened to him. Halo Combat Evolved: Original Soundtrack - YouTube
The CE Sound track was superb. The music in infinite sounds pretty flat and uninspiring. If covenant dance started playing when the match was close to being done I would literally get a -Yoink!-.

Yeah, I agree with you, I guess I was in awe by the first few hours of the game. Now I’m starting to take back my statement on the music. Its good and sounds like it would fit in another game but doesn’t really much feel like Halo.

I have yet to hear a bad track tbh. There’s only one track that doesn’t feel entirely “Halo” but the feel is still there for me.
