I have mostly been listening to through the trees and I have to say, nobody makes this good music for a bad game. Just listen to them. I would love to see more H:I OSTs.
Haven’t given it listen since the track were dropped. Your right they sound awesome.
If there is less music like H4 or H5 [which I to be honest don’t remember] and more epic soundtracks like in H1 to Reach, that would be fine

Halo 5’s music was too epic in my opinion. The constant use of strings gave it the sense of urgency (of something?). Reach’s approach to epic battle music was really good because it made sense in combat moments. I remember in Halo 5 i was just sitting around dead grunts and the music was like
WHY ARE YOU LOOKING AT THE GRUNT!!! GO FIGHT DUDE

It is a nice track, I suppose, but when I listen to the original Walk in the Woods, which this track is supposed to be a rendition of, it sounds nothing like it! Only one short bit sounds remotely similar, and that is rather disappointing. Now, on the other hand, it took a while for me to warm up to Set a Fire in Your Heart, but now I really like that one!
And on the subject of Halo Infinite music, I think it would be great if they had more returning tracks (that actually sound like their originals). In particular, I really want Perilous Journey to return. It just has that ‘adventure’ feel to it, and with the MasterChief returning to a Halo ring at last, it would be a missed oppurtunity if it was not included. That is just my opinion, anyway.
Oh, about the “good music for a bad game”…there are actually a number of instances where terrible games had good music. One example I know of happens to be two infamous(?) games from 1993, on the Philips CD-I console…

Let’s just hope that Halo Infinite is good!
