Halo Infinite Multiplayer MUST BE MMO?!

I heard that Halo Infinite is only going to be released as a single player game then in 2020 343i are going to release multiplayer but that doesn’t really make sense to me unless they’re heading towards an MMO open-world game? Plus the campaign mode must take a while to complete ig they’re willing to sell their game at launch with only single player…

What do you think? I’m abit sceptical about the whole rumour

Take it for what it is…a rumor

Halo may be back on PC after 11 years - Halo 5 Guardians on W10 | Page 6 | ResetEra frankie pretty much denied that

Thanks for spreading the word.

I think that the trailer gave a MMO feel, simply because it was showing off the many places the engine could take you. I think that Halo wouldn’t have an MMO unless it was a spinoff game, which this clearly isn’t because it is after the events of Halo 5, and the main character is Chief, which means its apart of the Reclaimer Saga. Plus, the guy who wrote the blog post on waypoint is the FPS lead, so I think for now we should assume (and hope) that it is an FPS game. For the rumor itself, I think it does in fact have some credibility, for the person who informed us of said rumor also informed us of the name of Halo: Infinite before it was announced.

It was eerily close. It has to have some credibility to it.

but still hes probably wrong about it split people gonna be turned off to a degree since its essentially incomplete so I doubt it

Here’s some good advise, always assume rumors are false, then do research/wait for confirmation to see if it is true.

This is good advice

There is literally zero evidence that Infinity will be an MMO. Even the “evidence” that it’ll be open world is inconsequential. The fanbase speculated Halo 5 will be an open world, for a time, as well. That’s the sort of thing that happens when the devs release very little if any details about the game.

Reel in your expectations, OP. We literally know nothing about the game outside of an early sample of its art style.

Why would it be an MMO just because it would release later? If it is releasing separately I think that just means 343i needs more time to get it right.

In that case, Halo Infinite has to be 20+ missions that’ll take hours to complete even on easy

If the rumors are true then it would make might make sense, but for 343i to realese the game in two parts wouldn’t be a good idea

I’m sorry, but it seems to me like a steaming pile of -Yoink-. Halo as an MMO? I mean, come on.

Closing this off to prevent confusion and false information from spreading. This rumour is false and has been confirmed such
