Halo Infinite Multiplayer Load Testing Feedback

I saw a number of threads going over our Feedback and if there’s already a Master Thread please merge this to it. Please feel free to post your feedback as well to this thread. As a fan of Halo ever since CE I am genuinely excited for this next installment, the elements reminds me of Reach and H3 (and judging by others with hot mics they agree). I’ve a few User Experience “bugs”, some game breaking bugs, and overall feedback.

User Experience "Bugs"
Summary: None of these are actually bugs, but they are specific pain points I noticed during the flight as a User going in blind.

  • Battle Pass Accessibility, and Points Presentation

  • I first noticed that in the progression screen for the season you do not see how many Points you have. Though opening the Battle Pass the place where your points are presented seemed in the wrong place being below the consumables. I feel it would be more sensible and clear the the User if it were in the top right of that interface as total points. - Getting to the Battle Pass was clunky to me, either having to jump in via the locked items in the armory or going through MP and having a small button prompt to check progress. It would be my suggestion to have in the main play screen or “Customize” screen to select “Battle Pass” in order to see your progress, and consumables.2. Look Acceleration

  • Maybe I’m old and can’t keep up as well as I could in my teens or early twenties. But I felt that even at the highest setting Look Acceleration was too slow (sensitivity was fine) and I felt like I couldn’t turn around fast enough when someone was behind me, and that was frustrating.Game Breaking Bugs

  • Capture the Flag OT Match Camera Bug

  • Summary: When a game of CTF goes into Overtime the player gets stuck in spectator mode, The player you’re stuck spectating’s death does not restore gameplay, nor does the death of the original player. - Steps to Reproduce: - Play a game of CTF - Have both teams score and run out of time during sudden death - Observe: The opening for the OT Match the player goes into spectator mode on another player, and is unable to see their Spartan.Observed Results: When a player transitions into the overtime match their pov is moved to another player on their team while still having control over their character.

Expected Results: When a player transitions into the overtime match their POV correctly goes into their FP view.

  1. Training Mode timer paused.
  • Summary: When the User changes settings during a weapons drill after the timer runs out (but before being taken back to the selection screen) The User can remain in the weapons drill. - Steps to Reproduce: - Start a “Weapons Drill” exercise - Play as expected - After the end of the drill but before the User is taken back to the selection screen, pause the game and go into settings. - Observe: Exiting the settings screen The User remains in the “Weapons Drill exercise” until the User restarts or leaves the exerciseObserved Results: Exiting the Settings Screen after a “Weapons Drill Exercise” timer ends, The User remains in the"Weapons Drill Exercise"

Expected Results: Exiting the Settings Screen after a Weapons Drill Exercise timer ends, The User is brought back to the Selection Screen.

Overall Feedback

  • Plasma weapons shouldn’t pick up ammo or reset, I feel a prime pillar of plasma weapons is they never reload and you need to pick up a new one when you run out or want a full one. - Plasma weapons no longer EMP? I tried to overcharge and kill vehicles with a plasma pistol and the ghost and warthog still functioned, I feel it’s against one of the reasons to have a plasma pistol and I think the dynamo weapons shouldn’t replace that function. - Radar seems broken, multiple times I had enemies appear out of nowhere without any blips on the radar. Maybe I’m just out of touch and wasn’t attentive enough without headphones being on. - The skill based matchmaking felt really good, (except in Strongholds) Nearly every game was very close, though there were a few times Steaktaculars were back to back. - Personally I don’t know if it was lack of communication, but Strongholds always were complete wipes in one way or the other and it never felt good to me (admittedly I’m not a fan of KotH game modes, so I am biased) - I heard from other players while hot mic they didn’t understand where the power ups or OS/AC were, they seemed to be like WTF is my OS/AC at then? This could be they are used to games where it gives you the power ups and the AI telling you it’s available causes confusion to new players not yet onboarded by an arena shooter. (Seems crazy to me who grew up with them, but I understand those that really only have played BR games)Again I’m genuinely excited to play the whole Halo Infinite experience in December and see how it evolves from the flights. I feel like the development team has done an excellent job so far with this installment and shows great promise.

Now just don’t screw up the Campaign lol :eyes:
