Halo Infinite Multiplayer: Last Spartan Standing Makes Me Very Angry

Last Spartan Standing is a very frustrating gametype for some reason. I have several criticisms that I hope someone somewhere will listen to:

  1. Overshields and Camo are overpowered and too common. Most people agree on this one, and I think they’re fixing it soon.

  2. The Bulldog is insanely overpowered as well, and if you ever get to that stage in the leveling tiers, it becomes the most common weapon you or anyone else uses. It needs to be a map pickup or the absolute last thing you get or something.

  3. The disruptor should be the only weapon you spawn with at the start.

  4. Grenade spawns should be consistent and predictable instead of random. Also they’re too common.

  5. The death fog doesn’t actually kill you fast enough imo. Its almost not dangerous at all honestly, unless the game SPAWNS YOU IN IT, which happens sometimes.

  6. I don’t like how the Mangler replaces the Sidekick and not the Disruptor in the first level up tier. It actually is a downgrade instead of an upgrade. I typically just wait until I have enough exp to level up to the AR class.

I’m delighted they are adding other equipment to pods. Should dilute the OS and camo out a bit.

I think the Bulldog is working well.

One weapon at start? Could be a good way of spreading out the load outs a bit better.

Agree grenades should be a little sparser. Maybe just one per plate.

Also yes. Faster fog. Don’t mind spawning in it (the designer said this was intentional as spawning in the small zone was too predictable). But there needs to be more time in getting out, and clearer signposting to safety.

You’re the first person I’ve heard claiming the Bulldog is overpowered… Most people hate this iteration of the shotgun compared to previous halo’s lol.

It’s because of how overwhelming it is and how there isn’t another weapon that can compete with it in LSS. It has an extremely fast time to kill in the two shot range, and a shot melee combo is nearly instantaneous.

When you get a bulldog you should be winning the game if you’re the least bit decent.

I think they need to spawn much less frequently and stop dropping out of the sky at random times. They should be spawning in specific spots on the map so all players can actively try to compete for them.

I agree, grenades should have more consistent spawns. The game mode is already completely randomized, do we really need power ups, equipment and grenades making things even more random and inconsistent?

The Danger Zone shouldn’t even be in the game mode, it’s pretty useless. They added it just so they could make it look similar to other Battle Royales. The Danger Zone only becomes a real issue in the final showdown between two players, because the game will literally respawn you out in the Danger Zone if you have lives left over which automatically handicaps that player when they finally get back to the circle where their opponent is ready and waiting.

they said the update that should come pretty soon will fix that and hopefully reinstate a lot of the trick jumps and some other things like that

Yeah the last 3 games being the last two alive I keep getting demolished by the person having overshields… Definitely made me angry, lol.

I’ve actually come to like the disrupter more, and I personally like the mangler. Pretty good combo switching between a mangler than assault rifle or starting with the disrupter and switching to the mangler to finish them.

Haven’t really noticed the shotgun being over powered, if anything it’s a challenge accepted to take them out. Haha.

I do wish the sidekick was in there, one of my favorite guns.

Good to know the death fog doesn’t damage you that much, I’ve avoided it like the plague. Might have to utilize that instead.

If I get time I’ll check the video out and update, I am intrigued.

Might be stupid but when it comes down to the last 3 I feel like power ups shouldn’t be allowed anymore, that might just be me being a sore looser though.

I think they should remove outlines in ffa game modes it makes it to easy to spot players across the map.

Personally I like the outline, makes me feel like my AI is actually doing something. Haha.
I think they should have a match without it though, maybe even a power up the takes your outline away.

I’m sorry, it’s just that six months ago people were calling the bulldog bad so this is extremely funny to see. It’s a very powerful weapon. Good to see people realizing it’s powerful.

The weapons in this game are such garbage!!! The disruptor and the sidekick suck, by the time you get a single kill 3/4 of your lives are gone! The switching between no sights to scoped moves the target retinal off the target and you miss every shot! Head shots don’t register, last game had an enemy running around with 8 disruptor bolts sticking out of his head and I died!! Last Spartan standing is a terrible game set! 100% HATE IT!!!

The new maps are not worth any kind of hype, although I have honestly never played on one of them because it never comes up. The game is not fun at all!

Okay not gonna’ lie but it just sounds like you’re not that good.

Disruptor: 8 shots does it but you can close the melee gap easy.
Mangler: LIterally, one of the lowest TTKs in the game. 3 shots.

I seriously doubt its overpowered against people with shields or overshields unless people are doing the shoot than melee tactic with it in lss

I think its alright but it shouldn’t have replaced the og pump shotgun

Its not that bad in LSS. I actually find the Commando much more powerful in LSS than the Bulldog, with the Bulldog not having the range of the Commando.

As for the point about the OG Shotgun vs the new one, I absolutely hate the Bulldog and Heatwave. I dont understand why we needed both, because they occupy the same spawn slot but have vastly different function as Shotguns. You could probably just axe the Bulldog and leave the Heatwave in, then bring the OG back so the Sword and Hammer arent dominating CQB.

The other game types, I get consistently 12-20 kills per game, of course there are the outliers with less than that, but even in those the weapons are terrible! The disruptor and the sidekick are throw away weapons, totally useless, the BR scope drops on zoom half the height of a Spartan, same occurs with the commando.

It’s because in a 1:1 fight it’s got the fastest time to kill In last spartan standing by miles and there’s nothing else that can compete with it. If you don’t already have full overshields activated you’re just plain dead when someone starts shooting you.

Why do people keep saying this? I’m an average player and my video alone proves it’s overpowered in last spartan standing. It’s almost always the main weapon people use because it’s the fastest killing gun you can get access to. The range isn’t that big of a problem because even it’s 3 shot kill range is pretty substantial, and most fights come down to close quarters brawls given the nature of the game mode
