I know that 343 will be showing campaign gameplay on July 23, 2020. I hope it’s darker, and Locke is out of the picture. The game supposedly is coming out later this year, so what are the chances they announce a multiplayer beta now for download now (July 23,2020)? Halo Infinite is going to be playable on the Xbox One family of systems so we could just use them and get a feel for the game and 343 can get some good feedback.

They’ve stated before that the game will be more focused of Master Chief so I’d imagine we’d see gameplay of him rather than any other characters.
As for a MP beta, I don’t think we’ll get a beta date in the July 23rd event.
I believe there’s a separate Xbox event for the console release date, price etc in August, it’s quite possible they’ll show MP there and drop a Beta date then instead.

I believe we will get a date for beta by the end of this month most likely at the event because they can tie it in to the game pass, where if you are subbed to gamepass you get access. There are 4-5 months till release if released in November-December depending on the Series X release. Halo 3 gave a 5 month beta before release and halo 5 gave out a 10 month window. So the beta if they are doing based on past beta timelines will have to be announced/released very soon.
Welp, as far as Locke being out of the picture. Current evidence from Mega Construx reveals show Locke’s helmet strapped to a certain Banished brute’s shoulder. Which means…you know…someone’s not doing headstands any time soon.
