Halo Infinite mouse aim assist shouldn't be a thing

Look, yes controller players have an advantage for accuracy, but if you practiced very hard you could compete with ease. Adding in aim assist for mouse though? Why? Also I can’t disable it! It messes up any aim that you practice with tracking because now your sensitivity is reduced when aiming at an enemy. This isn’t what people want in regards to “desync” fix.

This change is explained in the patch notes here:

Furthermore, the rotational aim assist was not an intended behavior.

As per 343_Taxi on twitter, the sensitivity was only supposed to be slowed down more when hovering targets. They did not want the reticle moving on its own. This is just full on controller aim assist.

Correct, aim assist is probably being caused by a bug. They were supposed to increase bullet magnetism, however.

even with what they wanted to do would have just made aiming feel even more inconsistent by changing your sens at random times.
