Halo Infinite Marketing

What do you think about the Halo Infinite marketing? I liked the Monster thing and the Escharum’s Monologue with “Set a fire in your heart”, but what else would you do to promote the game? I think Infinite need an epic live action trailer like in Halo 3: ODST “We are ODST”, Halo Reach “Remember Reach” or even like the one in Halo Wars 2 E3 Trailer (actually not a live action).
A Halo Legends series about Infinite? It would be cool too.

If they could do an ARG like I love bees or something like that, it would be pretty cool. It could create hype and excitement for the game while we wait for it to be polished and improved.

I would like some “first party marketing”, the only information about infinite is coming through energy drink collabs and toys… Maybe some Devs updates like Cyberpunk, short gameplay videos showcasing interesting game mechanics or any multiplayer info… I think Halo Infinite cutscenes until now have been outstanding so I don’t see the need for a live-action trailer.

Live action would be good in my eyes for two reasons, dedicated to the games to spend marketing budget money on a “real” trailer and two hyped up the TV show because we’d get a taste of Halo “live” …again

The best marketing they can get is word of mouth. Make a good demo, let us play the best beta ever, be honest and open with us and the positive comments will flow.

They need to show us that it’s a good game. The first demo was rather boring and didn’t even clear up if the game is open world or not. We need to understand what this game is, with a new demo. If not for the campaign, then for multiplayer (which is a complete mystery now)

Halo 5 had heavy marketing through incredible live action trailers, Halo Nightfall, Hunt the Truth, Open beta and so on and it created huge anticipation even though it turned out the whole marketing lied about the reality of the story, but it was a good marketing.
Now, for Halo Infinite the marketing feels very lackluster and lost. I don’t think 343 was expecting the reaction (mainly negative) about the demo. Maybe they thought the presentation was supposed to make a mark and reveal the glorious Halo on the new Xbox, but it failed in almost everything since it is like a consensus the game is clearly not ready yet.
The delay probably forced them to remake the marketing strategy, so I guess they will be silent for a while, however it is very disappoint to see most of the information coming from toys and partnership with other products, which I don’t think is the best way to sell the game. Hopefully they have something planned, considering they have now to market the game and maybe prove they’ve been working hard to fix all the issues pointed out about the gameplay reveal.

I personally like the marketing, I like how they reward people for buying products as well as making trailers to show how amazing the game will be. I really think this is gonna be a good game and am excited to see it once it comes out.
