Halo Infinite long term

If they don’t give us the option to fully disable platform based crossplay (not input based) then I won’t be sticking around. If they do, then I’ll support the game, buy the battle pass and some cosmetics…but I won’t be spending a penny until this is confirmed.

They also need to disable or totally relax SBMM in Social playlists…it’s no fun for my friends when I join them and they start getting pub stomped by better players game after game.

Excuses for the developer? I’m just content with what I have and I’m not spoiled.

So wanting things that have been standard to a Halo game for almost two decades is being spoiled. I call that a failure of the developer to maintain the Halo heritage.

Another thing…they need to fix the audio issues in this game as another priority. Audio queues are very important and we should be able to hear me enemy footsteps coming up behind us…why is the directional audio from behind non existent?

If a game is somehow fun even with all the flaws in Infinite (horrible progression system, lacking modes, lacking features/maps/weapons and so on) then it means we’re all pretty set on a really fun game going forward. The fact that most requests are (in some way) asking for more content is a great issue to have, if a game was just poorly designed people tend to focus on its flaws instead of asking for more stuff.

Oh boy, my point has been proven

Same here. I’m enjoying it 100%, having a blast since day one.
Keeping in mind how passionately 343i supported the MCC in the last years
I’m pretty confident that H:I has a bright future looking ahead.

It has its issues, but which Halo game had none? A lot of it is subjective anyway.
As long as 343i keeps acknowledging the issues and keeps working on them,
I know my friend and I will be fine.

Well put Mr. Jay. People want moaaaar

The fact is there was a pandemic, we received the game early, and they are planning to add everything you want.

I’ll be sticking around for the campaign, future campaigns and the multiplayer narrative for the long-term.

Maybe multiplayer as well in the long-term if they get around to fixing up the anti-consumer design choices.

I’ll probably continue playing it some no matter what, but I won’t play it much if they don’t change anything. However, they have already said they’re going to change at least some things, so just gotta be patient and keep talking about the issues that need addressing most.

Personally, if @343 decides to fix the radar (make it full-size again in all modes, and make the UI big enough to see) and address the lack of grenade indicators, I’ll play this game forever just out of respect for them actually listening.

game was delayed a year

As a die hard halo fan that’s played every single halo game since CE first came out I will try my best to stick around and hope 343 corrects the faults.

But I’m not giving 343 another cent of my money. They are corrupt and crooked……last year we all were complaining about the monetization and lack of customization available at launch that was leaked.

We voiced our concerns and 343 obviously did not care and drove forward with it.

With the progression system and monetization of everything it makes perfect sense the devs must be hitting the crack pipe a bit too much cause this games mechanics sure do act like an addict that needs to steal money from people….

So, I’m gonna preface this with the fact that I did like your comment. However, I want to point out a major flaw in your thinking, and one that has sadly become the norm in many of us, that being: being okay with a game with issues at launch, yes I know we are still in Beta, but this is what we’re getting on Dec 8th with the campaign in all liklihood.

That way of thinking allows publishers to shove unfinished games out the door which in turn makes the developer look bad and can damage the longevity of a game. We deserve to be treated better as consumers and not just as cash cows and that’s what most publishers look at us as, this is why microtransactions exist. Well, one of the reasons, that’s an entirely different topic.

You are correct that the previous few Halo games since 343i took the helm have had issues at launch, and yes, 343i has stepped up and fixed that, which is great but ultmately is the expectation of us as consumers. But this has to stop being the norm and that only changes if we as consumers stop accepting it as the norm.
