Does anyone see themselves playing this game longterm if nothing really changes once the game is “fully launched”.I feel its become pretty boring after 2 weeks especially having to play gamemodes i dislike because 343 decided to mix them altogether.Not to mention it seems like the fun playlists are only gonna be LTE like Swat,Snipers,etc.

I’ve played every Halo on release. I’ve already stopped playing. This game is a joke and so is 343. Sooo many issues ranging from do nothing for cheating, no ability to turn off crossplay for fair matches. Lack of maps, modes. Bad decision making from 343 and their philosophy. Let’s not even get started on the monitization and battle pass. Once I got over my nostalgia I was very sad about this game. I’ll check back on the 8th and a few months later to see the rd they take. But 343 just does not know how to make a Halo game nor listen to their community. Glad I don’t have to pay for the campaign.

I am playing even though I hate the progression and keep falling for FOMO with it. the game is fun, and that alone is enough.

I’ll still be playing, 343 have and are listening to the community, things take time to fix, cheating always a problem regardless of what game you play, developers do what they can, but some people still find ways around it,
playlists will grow, forge will come and make a huge difference in variety, progression system will change over time, etc
I went into this to play for fun, really not fussed with cosmetics, I progress as I do, not in any hurry to unlock the items I would like. End of the day it’s solid gameplay.
Doubt I’ll ever touch H5 again, but still play through all the other games, and will continue to
I’m going to stick with it for a little while longer hopefully they’ll turn off cross play soon and I can really enjoy the multiplayer. But as far as future updates I think if they’re smart enough so far 343 is not proving that with their complete decision-making that they made conscious decisions to do. But I can see a lot of hype and energy going into this game. Maybe in a year or two we can get a battle royale where it’s kind of like on a ring and you’re an ODST and the rings breaking apart you know crap like that. To DLC expansions on the campaign where you’re just running around and then you hear a signal from the spirit of fire I think that would blow my mind.
I’m having a great time and show no signs of stopping. I would be perfectly content if there was zero progression (which a lot of people feel we’re flirting with); I’m fine with default armor and a few color choices. I can’t wait to see what custom games we get when forge finally makes it’s way.
I have a gut feeling Spirit of fire gonna show up, it would make sense, downloaded halo wars 2 demo on series s and it kept crashing which sucks, not played it yet and wanted to before Infinite came out, but don’t wanna pay for a game if it’s not gonna work properly
Yeah I’m gonna keep playing. This is the most fun I’ve had on a Halo game since Halo 3. I’m sure more gametypes and playlists will come.
Season 2 is 6 months away give or take. Don’t expect anymore maps or modes until then.
I don’t expect anymore maps, but modes? We’ll get a dedicated Slayer playlist along with SWAT and FFA before then.
If BTB continues to not have a BR start and all maps stay an AR fest I can’t see myself being interested in the multiplayer by next year.

I’ll be going back to MCC after I’m done with the campaign if nothing changes. I value my progression and fun over there with a balanced progression/challenge system and all of the game modes that I love.

The games only 2 weeks old. Its an early release. And its free. We will get updates, patience is a virtue.

It’s a virtue that 343 needs to earn, and after multiple games botched their launches for one reason or another, it’s a virtue that that 343 does not currently deserve much of.

This launch was not botched. Servers work, game feels good. MCC was botched.
Patience??? They had 6 years and delayed the game. We are asking for playlists and a ranking system for starters. I’m tired of people making excuses for developers. This is the reason games release with less and less content.

The game works, but have you seen all of the negative criticism surrounding it. There is more to a successful launch than just the games performance. Public image and perception is also a large part of a games success or failure.
I’ll pick it back up if they give us more choice in matchmaking playlists and if they fix custom games.
