We all understand that things are a little tight with 343i and Infinite’s launch right now considering delaying campaign co-op and forge, and I’m a little concerned for some of the pre-release content that we grew up on. Halo 3 “Arms Race” and “Landfall”, ODSTs “We Are ODST”, Reach’s “Deliver Hope” and “Birth of a Spartan” are more than just promotional content, they are a big part to what makes the franchise immortal. I encourage anyone reading this to watch some of these videos and tell me that they don’t feel their hearts pump with excitement and love for the Halo universe. I think it is necessary for Infinite to at least make one live-action trailer that shows the hard realism of humanities struggle and endearment in order to put its permanent stamp in Halo’s history among the greats.

I’m not really fussed about a live action trailer to be honest - it’s a video game not a movie. I’d much rather see gameplay trailers and such instead.
I struggle to see how a live action game sells me on a game.
Live action can certainly be cool at times but I’ve never seen a trailer and thought “wow, I want to play that” because the experiences just don’t compare.
Marketing will start showing up closer to launch so we’ll start to see what kind of marketing 343i & Xbox will be putting out for the game.
Would love to see it, for me the Halo 3 starry night trailer was iconic. Chief surviving in the bubble shield is a staple image that I can still see clearly in my mind like it was the first time I saw it. From that moment I was hooked on the franchise.
I pulled out the Forward Unto Dawn blu ray the other night and watched it again. Very enjoyable.

Its nice to see live action trailers, but sometimes the effects can stand out a little, proportions don’t quite match, etc, which can be a bit of a let down.
If we do get one though, it would be cool to have it focus on UNSC marines and scientists studying Zeta Halo, which then cuts in with scenes of the Banished invading, a bit like how they cut between the speech and Infinity in the Halo 4 LA trailer. Chief pops up before the end for some heroic pew pews, as the classic halo theme builds to its epic crescendo, and the screen flashes to white as we see the ring explode.
