So I’ve been trying to get an answer to this question everywhere I possibly can. I’ve asked on Twitter on multiple different halo post. I’ve tried to Google(ahem I mean Bing it lol). And nothing! But for some reason I’ve barely decided to come ask here so hopefully I can get an answer now. Is there going to be any kind of legendary or collector’s edition of Infinite? I’m aware of the console the controller and headset etc. But I’ve yet to see anything about a legendary edition of the game itself. I’m ready to pre-order the game but the only thing I’ve found so far is a steel cover edition from target? Please tell me there’s gonna be something better than that?
How’s it right now, there isn’t man. Maybe they announced something before It comes out but I would think they would have announced it already… so as of right now, I don’t think it’s happening. I agree it’s a bit disappointing but what is is. Who knows maybe in the future they’ll do something.
Unfortunately, digital is where the consoles are heading. Even last generation, there were games that had collector’s editions without the game, allowing the buyer to purchase physical or digital on their platform of choice. With Game Pass, I would not be surprised if a Microsoft game never has a collector’s edition again (outside of console editions, of course).
This is nothing new as media becomes digital. It happened with PC, music, newspapers, etc. There will be a market for physical, but the $$ is not there so the focus shifts.
I saw something that walmart was doing but it’s nowhere close to the legendary edition of past games.

Seriously same man in the past I was never able to afford any legendary edition game or anything like that of halo being a kid/younger but now that I got the money for it they got nothing? It’s so dissapointing dude smh
I’ve been trying to get the same answers, managed to secure myself a halo console for myself and my dad.
But we are both really hoping for a legendary edition, every halo game that has ever come out (bar halo ce) we have gone to mid night launch so i really do hope they announce one soon as il be buying it for sure.

I don’t think so - the fact they’re going f2p for multi and adding it to gamepass, i doubt you will see a legendary edition. I feel like they would have already shown that, as you can preorder H:I now.
Still holding out hope that there is a Legendary edition to be announced, otherwise 343 could have denied its existance and allowed people to pre-order alternatives. However, with how difficult it is to secure limited edition gear these days I would almost prefer to not have them at all, rather than barely missing out and having someone try to re-sell it to me at extortionate prices.
I’m just buying the steelbook and Master Chief figure from bestbuy.
I don’t know, but I’ve got my wallet ready should the day come…
Closeness thing to that is the Best Buy steel case in the U.S, not sure about other countries for that offer.
