The only way to force their hand is a catastrophic drop in player numbers. Something really big needs to happen, and fast.
For whatever reason, I have a feeling 343/Microsoft really don’t care and they are trying to pull a Bungie to see what they can get away with and will use that as their guideline. Personally, I think it’s BS that they have stopped this low but what can anyone really do
People could just stop buying items from the store. But that likely won’t happen, with the rampant stockholm syndrome people have towards modern game developers and their awful practices.
You got to 3? I unlocked a bunch of card thingys, I tried to figure out how to turn them into credits, I saw the horrendous transfer rate, came to a realization that the game’s unlock system is just the worst and bounced.
Left out I played one match and then tried to transfer stuff.
The reason it won’t happen is becase they’ve been conditioned to. Companies that have a shop in their game have most of the players by the balls, and the players see nothing wrong with that.
Getting the word out sorta speak to stop buying from the shop on the forums is one thing, but that isn’t where the problem lies. It’s all the players that don’t ever use the forums that are the problem.
The game is backwards and just annoyingly broken the multiplayer you can play without a connection, but the campaign sorry no can do, even thou it’s has a pop up in the corner that say offline.
Every other halo game it has been able to play the campaign without a connection. Yes having a connection is common but what about outages or when your on holiday and you want to play halo.
Forgot remember Microsoft’s whole lie about game preservation well needing a connection to boot a campaign hmm.
I mean, maybe but that defiantly isn’t always the case. I have a somewhat cheap and low end mother board. MSI B550 Pro, it’s not even geared for gaming. Cost me just over $100 but that doesn’t mean I went cheap on anything else. I spent over $1,200 on my GPU, and that was MSRP price, not scalpers price. Even with my mother board, I’m ranked in the top 100 on Time Spy with my CPU and GPU set up. When it comes to mother boards, the high ends just allow you to do better OCing to the CPU and may allow more NVMe gen 4 lanes.
According to the steam charts the player base is halved every month. That’s pretty dang bad. Me and my friend group stopped playing because of the awful lag, terrible store, rampant cheating and broken BTB. I doubt most these players will ever come back.
Down to 23k a day average on steam.
Tomorrow we’ll be able to see just how bad it did this month.
But you don’t get it most people play on the Xbox App /s
I guarantee the drop % is almost 1:1 comparison on every platform.
They will never release the player base count on consoles. It will look really bad.
We do get it, but there’s no tracking it from those platforms so Steam is what we got.
I was joking, what I mean is most of the people who actually play on PC would know that Steam is the preferred platform. People using the excuse of more players playing it through the PC Xbox app rather than Steam makes no sense honestly. They can say what they want because there is no stat tracking on Xbox App.
Proof would be preferred on the player count. I don’t trust peoples words when it’s easy for people to be bias when they’re mad at something lol.
Adequate proof is how you shut arguments down lol.
Yeah, it really does make no sense. As for me, Halo MP is unplayable via the Xbox app so I have to play it from Steam. Filed a support ticket with 343i and they pretty much said they have no plans to fix it.
You would think, not so much the case with some of these people on this forum.
Negativity Bias is a very real thing, where you’ll bash things just because you hate them even if they’re not justified.
There’s a guy on here that calls everyone who doesn’t 100% agree with him a bootlicker for 343i for instance, even if on your side of the argument you’re actually bashing 343i. Makes me wonder if he even knows what the term bootlicker even means lol.
