Halo Infinite just lost 100,000 players

Same. There were a few people I thought were aimbotting or wall hacking.

But after I both (A. Beat them to the punch when rounding corners in SWAT and (B. Noticed them missing shots here and there, I determined they weren’t cheating. Note: I usually have to deal with 150ms in games, so my reactions have to be much higher than my opponent.

I just chalked it up to having good reticle placement by guessing where someone’s head would be, which is a classic tactic in SWAT. I’ve even had 100% accuracy (comes out as 33.33% accuracy due to invariably missing 2 shots if you get all headshots in SWAT from the 3 round burst), om top of getting close to 4.0 K/Ds in a single match, so people probably thought I was hacking as well.

Not true. As mentioned already you can spoof this pretty easily. As you said earlier do a Google search.

Long time online player from h2 release… I. dont see ever coming. back to inf.

-no pre/post lobbies, stats, waypoint #s
-fireteams cant play ffa together, custom game party system horrible, ui
-most customization stuck behind paywalls
-ranks are underwelming, no visible ranks/badges, high amount cheaters
-player outlines suck, equipment is bad except grappler.
-high pings, no region selection, no physical bodies, screwed up melee
-btb with how the vehicles work isnt fun like previous games
-no forge, firefight, custom games/ui/fireteam system aint good like previous games
-no push to talk option to bind to specific key on controller

The game literally puts me to sleep. It’s so boring.

MAC addresses are used through the network interface controller, they’re used in a network ban. I agreed they can be circumvented with ease. There’s no disagreement there:

Right, and we were back when mcc launched too.
Its important for us that theres a functional game, we dont have much spare time, so weekend warriors it will be, or when we can.
Out of the 100 or so people on my friends list, none have played since btb broke.
This scenario is playing out with tens of thousands of groups.

Same rlly. I don’t even care to play the event.

EDIT: just played. Event is good, I like the mode a lot actually. It’s just that the balance IMO sucks. It’s really a casual halo game. And the desync is horrid. I’m still getting shot and picked off behind walls on my screen.

I’d much rather play halo 2 or something on the MCC

No, SR152 was a pre-launch award for Halo Infinite, so if you didn’t get it before you be getting it anytime soon. Unless they decide to contradict its status and put it in shop lol

Doesn’t PC have like a max player based of 101,000 people anyways… PC IS DEAD it has been since Halo 2 vista Stop Xbox has the players…

Halo Infinite broke the PC population cap with 256k players. It’s either a statistical impossibility or a bad joke.

Dead games don’t have a playerbase.

Like Battleborne or Lawbreakers.

I’m just saying all jokes aside… We should really only focus on how well it’s doing on Xbox… the player base on Xbox is like 10000Xbox/1pc… 23 million on game-pass… Halo is doing just fine… you guys need to relax.

I kinda agree with the idea of using the steam playerbase to comps ante the entire infinte palyerbase its not fair

I’m a veteran and just on the verge of throwing in the towel. There’s a great game here, but it’s buried under 6 feet of stupidity.

Infinite is still top of the Xbox ecosystem chart provided by Trueachievements.com so I don’t think there’s a lot to be concerned about. Even Fortnite’s player numbers on PC fluctuate massively.

Yes Infinite has issues with some aspects which are being worked on, but a lot of players right now will have:

  1. Finished the campaign
  2. Completed the Battle Pass
  3. Less time for gaming after the holidays

Sure if the downturn continues for months… maybe there’s an issue, but volatility in the numbers is to be expected with F2P. At its core, Infinite has nailed the gameplay… everything else is secondary

As someone who has invested thousands of hours into the series, I’ll play until I finish my last two achievements. After that I’m out until substantial changes are made. This Halo just isn’t for me

Given all the crap that goes on in PvP, I can’t say I’m surprised.
Cheating, things not working right, it’s ridiculous.

You aren’t missing anything… I got a 152 in H5 a long long time ago and honestly I don’t even know if I have the coating in Infinite. It doesn’t stand out at all and blends in with everything else. The cosmetic system of Infinite is pretty terrible as well.

You can still get it according to snickerdoodle.

It’s a real shame. Although they did support Halo 5 for those years so there is that.

I do hope that the game shipping without Forge and Custom Browser wasn’t by design. Everybody said Halo 5 had too little content at launch and people got bored playing same maps. Of all the feedback not to have taken onboard that would be a rough one to make.

Plus I think the emphasis on Arena does need to shift. 4v4 in a small map does get repetitive. You just don’t get the same variety and it doesn’t feel as interesting as BTB. But it still seems to get majority support for game modes and maps.

In my gaming group they’re not playing Halo because:

  • No BTB
  • No Co-Op
  • No new maps

There’s some whining about the store and lack of armour. But they’re not really interested in playing the game atm.

On a positive note. By end of next year I reckon most of these content issues will be solved and I can be looking forward to next Campaign DLC with Atriox. I will have my vengeance.
