(Quick note: I hope this is the right place for letting you great, hard workers at 343 know my feedback)
During my time on the weekend playing up to 20hrs worth of the first Halo Infinite flight, I had an ultimate blast. Here I will go over what I thought about the gameplay, menus, bugs and more. I won’t go over every single thing as it’ll take me all afternoon and night to explain but I’ll go over the main things. Unfortunately I missed out on the PVP matches due to time zone differences but the multiplayer aspect will be based on my experience with the bots.
Multiplayer (8.5/10, my favourite so far)

The gameplay feels VERY good, a fantastic mixture of Halo 3/5/Reach.

The maps had a very good flow to them and are beautifully designed (appearance wise), though at times during bazzar I was having some trouble finding enemies (but it may be due to me being constantly moving around the whole map) - All guns feel well balanced, nothing needing any nerfs and nothing needing any buffs with an uncertain exception for the heatwave. Maybe it was me just still getting used to it but sometimes it did feel a little underpowered. - - I prefer the needler having the more crystalized sound from bungies games, specifically CE, but I really really appreciate returning the CE needler melee. It put a big smile on my face and hit me with nostalgia seeing it for the first time. - The sniper sounds perfect with it’s big “boom” sound - The AR feels perfect. Strong at close range and even short-mid but still loses against a br or commando at mid range. - I love the AI companions and how each have their different personalities. While playing I was constantly swapping between CIRC, FRETT, and LUMU. I haven’t had an issue with them being annoying as you can just swap to one who doesn’t have a quippy or sassy personality but for other players, an option to turn them off would be great. - Not a big fan of the quick mid guitar tune at 23-25 team kills. An option to turn it off so you can just hear “halfway to victory” from Jeff would be nice but otherwise it doesn’t bother me too much when I’m playing. - The bots work very well and are a tough challenge (despite only getting a highest total of around 15 team kills). They make me VERY excited for the campaign AI with how the Banished have their chatter together and have special attacks like randomly picking up grunts and throwing them at the Cheif. - The new overshield and active camo feature works great, no changes needed. - I felt like the controller (Xbox Elite Series 2) on PC was good as I hadn’t really felt the issues others had and my primary custom button layout caused no issues - The new outline system so we can have our custom colours is much better than RVB and works great. - Like the spartan chatter though I wish they were more specific on where they spotted someone (Modern Warfare 2019 had this issue which Infinity Ward had fixed I believe)Menus

I feel like the main multiplayer menu could be tidied up as it doesn’t have a good flow to use. A reddit user by the name of “theUSpopulation” posted a great menu photoshop which looks alot more cleaner to browse through (link: https://www.reddit.com/r/halo/comments/ov9p1l/i_really_dislike_infinites_ui_so_i_redesigned_a). - 2 examples of menu troubles: 1) Having to back out of the lobby screen, then gamemode screen, just to get to the customisation menu screen 2) Helmet attachments shouldn’t be that hidden to access. I won’t have issues finding it as I know where it is now but more casual players will - When going through the main menu’s quickly the background could take a while to load the spartan, vehicle, weapon or whatever - The settings menu has no issue at all, it is easy to navigate through and find what I need.Bugs/Issues

Sometimes in the main menus and lobby screen’s, the game would flicker - BUTLR was appearing fully red in the AI picker screen as if his model visuals wasn’t loading (similar to Valves pink and black squares) - Many times on the first 2 days of the flight, you AI voice would be randomised from what you picked (e.g. I had CIRC equipped and would get BUTLR’s voice instead) - A spartan’s body and weapon were “disparted” when grappling for no longer than a second. They looked like a promethan solider after you shot their neon weak spot a few times) - Performance wise, the game did struggle a little as I was only getting an average between 50-65 FPS on (default but low motion blur) medium graphics settings. My CPU (Intel Core i5-9400F 2.9 GHz 6-Core) usage was going between 70-80% and my GPU (NVIDIA RTX 2060 6GB) usage was going between 60-70%. - The prosthetic’s wouldn’t update properly when changing them in the prosthetics menu, only after you exited it and to another menu where you could see you spartan - The menu’s background and battlepass icons taking a while to load (menu’s taking around 5-20 seconds but unsure of BP as I left to play the multiplayer) - Bots would sometimes get stuck against walls. They would get unstuck when in combat with a player or shortly by themselves Miscellaneous

Spartan customisation is almost perfect. I would love for effects like Reach (not sure if someone confirmed them already) and have the ability to customise a custom armour coating with the ball and 6 shapes behind it - Prosthetics are a fantastic inclusion in customisation - When in the body and AI menu, I would like to be able to rotate my spartan to get a better view of the prosthetic changes and see the difference in body type. - The weapon training is an almost perfect addition. I would’ve liked the option to have it similar to Valorant/CS-GO where it isn’t time based and you can have more options with setting up bots and choosing weapons - The many small references, details, and fan service from previous games, lore, and other content is noticed and VERY appreciated.Overall, I had a great experience with this game and am excited to play more this year whenever it releases. You hardworking developers and designers have done a fantastic job so far and have really listened to the community which is rare these days in the gaming industry. It really feels like a game made by gamers for gamers. Wish you all well in the further development of the game and as your hard work is paying off!
