Well here is the thing. There is no impact to begin with.
You’re right it’s all false
Can you name a year in either of our lifetimes that has had inflation of over 1600%?
If it’s got a price tag of 60$+ in any form, that is the main price of the product. Game pass access is Nule & Void in the argument. The price of the game is 60-70$.
They want you on game pass.
They don’t care if you pay for the game
This isnt our problem… No halo fan urged 343, Microsoft or anyone to make Halo Infinite free… Nobody urged them to make it on game pass or have a $1 sale right before launch. Why should the community be punished with greedy microtransactions and a lack of customization unless you pay because THEY chose to make it free??
Halo fans wouldnt have minded paying 60 dollars for a complete game, maybe a 2 dollar armor in the shop here and there.
You’re right. Purchase in the most expensive way you possibly can. No need to explore your options.
Buy it if you want, use game pass if you want. All I’m saying is that there is more than one option in this situation.
It was designed that way.
Yeah that design is fine with me
Ofcourse because you don’t see the big picture
Do you see the big picture? The original intent of this post was to highlight how the barrier to start playing the game is low.
Let’s say you don’t even care about the campaign at all and only want to play multiplayer. You don’t even need game pass. Just download and play. There isn’t much to miss there. Nobody is forcing you to buy anything.
COUGH Campaign COUGH DLC COUGH Gee i wonder how companies in the past survived with just releasing games with everything in it complete and in the game and NO microtransactions…
That was before investors and execs needed their wallets filled
Really? i’m pretty sure that 3drealms and other companies had plenty of investors.
Then, oh lord of knowledge, why do the majority of AAA games today have to be clearly unfinished, more focused on £15+ of cosmetics and battle passes?
Surely not for our benefit
