I have started playing games on NES now Xone X.Had a lot of consoles and hundreds of games,my favourite one is Xbox 360 and Halo is under 5 best series of games i played.
This newest generation of games is the worst i saw and the only game im looking forwards to and have hope left is Halo Infinite.I hope the Campaign delivers and is longer than previous Halo games cause 6 long years we waiting.
I am very curious about the state of the gaming industry as a whole as after I graduated Highschool in 2014 my time spent gaming has gradually decreased and while I was once a gamer jack of all trades I really just hyper focus on Halo now.
I am very excited for Infinite but I know there have been many scandals that have plagued both the industry and series as of late and I have learned to be skeptical of all upcoming products (to a healthy degree at least) until they are released. I also remember there were many controversies with the industry and series even back as far as reach in 2012 on the 360 though.
Either way even if the industry is in a rut atm, this is common of any popular medium and series and usually isnt a total death knell. Even the gaming industry saw an oversaturation and quality control issue in like the 90s that caused a big crash and we recovered from that with the playstations and the xboxs so I would lose all hope, I just would avoid overhype just as well.

Same here. I used to play about 10-15 games a year and try to get 1000 gamerscore on all of them, but the last few years have been very subpar. Since around september 2020, the only game Ive played is MCC. Ive learned to fill my time with what I know is fun and enjoyable, rather than hopeing another game will be worth my time. Infinite being delay really sucked, but i think it will be worth it. MCC and Infinite are the only games I plan only playing for the whole year of 2021, and probably beyond.

I am in a similar boat although I may play a game or two more it really depends on what some of my friends play as well. I am also okay with Infinite’s delay so long the final product is quality at release. I am enjoy current halo products plenty enough in the mean time.
There’s tons of franchises out there that get me excited but Halo is at the very top. Close second is Avowed, can’t wait to see how that turns out. Also very interested to see Fable… I’m gonna stop there though or I’m gonna max the character cap with games I’m excited for lol
Super excited for Back 4 Blood, but that got delayed from June to Fall, so now it will have to compete with Halo for my time. I’ve never really played multiple games in the same time period before, so we’ll have to see how that goes.
Halo inf, Back4blood and battlefield next are the ones I have hope for this year. Cod and destiny are being dragged to their graves screaming.
I started the wider gaming scene with Halo, and obviously I loved every second of every game(figure of speech I hate the level Cortana), so I have the most hope for Infinite. The only other upcoming games I know I’m gonna play are Elder Scrolls 6, Jedi Fallen Order 2, and the next Assassin’s Creed.
Infinite and BF6 are pretty much all I’m looking forward to, and I fully expect Infinite to make me essentially forget about BF6

Same. I was a gamer long before home consoles were a thing, I started in the arcades and I play most game types, rts are my pet hate though, don’t really like them.
I’m already counting down the days until the Mass Effect remake and Ninja Gaiden Master Collection drop, they’re all old titles but I’ll lose literally hundreds of hours in them. Add that to new titles coming and there’s a ton of games I’m interested in. Halo Infinite is included in my very very long list.
Also… I’m a new subscriber to GamePass, never thought I would be but there’s a ton of games in there I discovered. Future looks good from where I sit and there are many games I have hope for.
It’s certainly the game I’m the most focused on coming out. That’s because Halo games are a rock for me to always come back to during gaming lulls or nights playing with back in the day friends.

I can’t wait for both of those collections as well, very excited to especially replay the first ME. That game was a mess technically lol Right now I just started my first playthrough of Final Fantasy 7. GP is amazing. I jumped in when they announced all first party games would launch and stay there and since then it’s just been getting better, so worth it. Alright I’m gonna shut up now as I’m kinda off topic and I sound like an ad lol
Well I mean, you can still find games you missed for past generations and play those. No one’s making you stay up to date on newer games and I highly doubt you’ve played everything worth playing since the release of the NES unless you just straight up don’t have a life or job. Not to mention all the indie titles you can hunt for. I’ve been trying the halo gap with old series I haven’t played like crysis and metroid prime. Also tried republic commando for the first time the other day and that’s pretty awesome so far.

I am doing just that my friend😀Since last year i started buying and playin OG Xbox games since i sadly missed that console in the past.Played Metroid Prime trilogy,i found it awesome!
with such considerable advancements in just sheer performance now, it is certainly true that games really haven’t moved on any since a long while and the state of them is rather stagnant. Like you Halo is really the only thing that’s on my radar because beyond that It’s just more of the same. Halo Infinite may also be more of the same of course but it’s a franchise worth playing if only for the potential it holds and truthfully hasn’t always delivered. I can see good in how Infinite is currently looking at least so yeah fingers crossed. No point getting too hyped of course as there’s usually something to spoil things and I’m mostly concerned MS will secretly sneak an online authentication in there
We shall see but lets be honest, a dud at this point simply would kill the franchise for many and MS really is keen not to let this happen
I’m in the same position. If Halo Infinite doesn’t meet my expectations than I’ve seriously considered selling my Xbox. My expectations aren’t very high either, I thought Halo 4 & 5 were okay, but they were nothing like Halo 3 or Halo Reach and that was a big shock.
I just want a game I can relax and play with friends. I’m not after anything revolutionary here.
From the looks of it, i’ve got some bad news for you homie lol…
Halo infinite is the last game i have any hope for, especially since we arent getting that ff7R xb1 port anytime soon.
There’s a litany of games I’m excited for personally. That may be a bit of an exaggeration, but the games I’m looking forward to the most are Halo Infinite and Breath of the Wild 2. Now those are at the top. I’m also really interested in Biomutant, Returnal, Kena and the bridge of spirits, Ratchet and Clank rift apart, Horizion Zero Dawn 2 etc.
There are a bunch of interesting titles coming out.
Halo infinite I know, is a game I will enjoy. But even if it doesn’t do well or turns out underwhelming (which i truly believe it won’t) then I’ll have other games to look forward to. Gaming is in a great place right now. Imo.
