Halo Infinite is Halo Wars 2 in first person

Title says it all. Needless to say I’m worried. Sprint, boosting, and clamber is back also. Yikes.

These all are just first impressions of course my opinion could easily change.

I personally loved HW2 and it’s art style but that doesn’t transition into an fps. If Halo Infinite was an rts game and top down way zoomed out this would look good but as it is now it looks like H5 and HW2 had a kid which is not what I expected.

YES! They should have indeed gone with that look. Less hexagonal pillars.

It should the art style of the Halo Infinite cutscenes. They look wildly different than the gameplay.

I disliked it immensely but I agree it suits a game with view from above much better than an FPS. Halo 5 guardians didn’t have perfect graphics, but to me it was much better as art direction.

Also, the ring in the skybox wasn’t that great and the forerunner placeholder pillars (looks like animus malfunctioning) are quite weird

HW2 cutscenes look nothing like HW2 in game. They are indeed beautiful, as those in HW1

This. It DOES feel a step back artistically after 4 & 5

If it looks like Halo 5: “Buuuuuh, the design sucks”
If it seems something else: “Buuuuuh, the design sucks”.
If it were up to you, we would continue in Halo 3. Already bored with so much complaint.

As I said it’s my opinion. I respect your take and I’m happy for you if you enjoyed what was shown. I’m still gonna be waiting for more to be revealed but I was not happy with how the environment looked. It doesn’t suck, I just don’t like it.

Also dismissing somebody’s opinion isn’t an argument. Just cause you’re personally bored of it doesn’t make it any less valid.

Sorry, your opinion doesn’t bore me, I respect it. What happens is that I am tired of these discussion about the artistic design of Halo.

I am one of those who prefer to see a continuous evolution in design.

Thank you I appreciate it. I think everyone in this community is also tired of the bickering.

But the reason it happens is some people disagree. In this case, some like myself believe this demo is devolution in design. I also want to see continuous evolution. But halo mega bloks isn’t it imo.
