Halo Infinite is Halo 6

A new Halo just got announced at e3, and it’s got everyone talking.
After some consideration of what the engine teaser is showcasing, I’m certain to conclude that Halo Infinite is indeed Halo 6. All facts line up to it. The art style is a welcome surprise, but leaves continuity questions on the lore.

I made a quick video summarising the facts to prove that Halo Infinite is indeed Halo 6. A small detail that most people might miss is the date inside the pelican on the flashing terminal. This date says 05.27.2559. It’s hard to make out, but I believe it’s accurate. Thoughts? This would make this game 1 years after the events of Halo Wars 2 which concluded in 2558, shortly after Halo 5. As both games linked the ending together with the ominous Halo ring (possibly Installation 02) it’s safe to assume the Halo present in the trailer is the same one.

How interesting

Frank O’Connor already confirmed it takes place after H5.

The funny thing is he never said whether or not it’s Halo 6, just that it took place after Halo 5.
Halo Wars 2 for example takes place after Halo 5, so…

This has also gotten me thinking that, is Halo Infinite actually Halo 6 at all?
It doesn’t have a 6 next to it. So…What is it exactly?

They are simply dropping the convention of numbered naming. It is indeed Halo 6 if not in name just in the fact that it is a direct continuation of Chiefs story from Halo 5.

Oooooooooh I hope there is Flood!!! Because there’s Flood on every Ring. But I wonder how Halo 6 will play out. Halo 2 will be my favorite Halo, though I’ve played the fps Halos. And let us hope it’s gonna be better than 5.

Yes, 343 stated they’d be dropping off the numbers back in Halo 4.
But look, there’s a Halo 5…So their is likely going to be a Halo 6 as well.
For all we know, Halo Infinite is a side story of some sort that does in fact continue the Master Chief’s story, but it’s an entire 1-2 years after Halo 5 apparently according to the Easter eggs we’ve seen in the trailer it-self.

Halo 6 is Infinite, it’s a continuation of the series. This is then dropping the numbered titles like they spoke of a few years back

But how do you know that? 343 industries hasn’t clearly stated it’s “Halo 6” only that it’s a continuation of the series.
Being a continuation of the series are games like Halo Wars 2, Halo: Fireteam Raven, and plenty of other Halo games that exist.

All we know for now is that Halo: Infinite is Halo: Infinite. Not a single 343 or Microsoft developer has been seen calling it Halo 6 as of yet.

So, by this logic, 343 or Microsoft still have the ability to create a Halo game called Halo 6 if they really wanted to. Will they? That’s what the future is for, not what the present is. Yes, it’s the 6th 1st person shooter Halo game to feature Master Chief, but it’s most definitely not the 6th Halo game in existence so far.

They’ve stated since Halo 4 that they wanted to drop numbered titles. Guardians was a step towards that and this is them doing it.

It’s Amazing
