Halo Infinite is getting a HUGE update soon (EARNABLE Credits!)

We are getting earnable credits soon!!!

343 Industries: “Hey everyone - the team wanted to provide a few updates on Halo Infinite to close out the week. We worked directly with our Head of Design here at 343, Jerry Hook, to share updates on some topics that have been top-of-mind for a lot of you this week:

  • Since launch, the team has been monitoring the discussions on the Shop, bundles, and pricing in the game. Using data and community feedback, we’ve begun rolling out changes to how we package and price items in the Shop this week.
Our focus with these changes is on reducing pricing across the board, providing stronger values in our bundles, starting to put individual items outside of bundles, and more. This week we focused on reducing the prices of our weekly bundles, while next week will have individual items starting to appear on their own.
We will be trying new things throughout the rest of the season so that we can continue to learn and improve for the future. Please keep the feedback coming during this process.
  • As we work on resolving the issues with Big Team Battle matchmaking, the team also plans to remove Challenges that require Big Team Battle for the time being. We don’t want to alter Challenge decks when they are live (as it would removing people’s progression on those Challenges), so these changes will start next Tuesday when the Weekly Challenges typically rollover.
  • Thanks to your continued feedback, we are happy to confirm Credits will be earnable in Season 2’s Battle Pass. That means you will be able to earn Credits as part of your Halo Infinite progression. We’ll have more to share on this as we get closer to Season 2.

Please note: The team is continuing to investigate the Big Team Battle matchmaking issues. This week’s hotfix, though not as effective as we had initially hoped, also contained additional telemetry that has been providing promising data to the team. We’ll continue to share updates when we have them. In the meantime, please be sure to keep an eye on Halo Support as well.

Thank you for your continued feedback, and we hope you all have a great weekend!”

I believe it’s frowned upon on here to do that because reposting is unnecessary but I understand.

oh, but still i dont know how to make threads if i want to talk about my own topics

Oh that should be simple to explain: when you go to Forums scroll below the popular topics, click the genre you want to post on. Click Add new.

I’m just curious how much we’ll get, at least 1,000 you’d hope. Fortnite gives you back 1,500 in their premium currency, over 50% more than the pass costs.

I really don’t understand the thought process behind earning credits in a battle pass or any other method. Or why anyone thinks that is going to be good news.

And 4 months isn’t “soon.”

Hey at least it isn’t 50 more challenge swaps😏

But people will complain about the amount of credits earned per season😶 so I’m not to optimistic. I don’t care at all about credits at all. If you can earn your next BP with one BP it’s fine otherwise I don’t mind spending 10 bucks for a new battle pass as long as the store prices are not to unhealthy

By soon you mean May.

Season 2 is in May.

Anyway, I feel the magic number for credits from the season pass is 3000, enough for the next pass, plus a handful of shop purchases. You could get 4 smaller bundles, or 1–2 big ones with a couple of smaller ones.

I think 3k is to much I think 1000 would be ok but more is ufff kinda OP. I would be happy to see mir but I doubt it

While a decent update, it’s not ‘huge’ next to everything else we need to see first.

Would love 3000CR per season. But I think that’s setting expectations far too high.

What id really love to see is 1000CR earnable through the tiers in the battle pass, and an additional 1000CR (or more) earnable through long term weapon commendations (get 1000 AR kills etc.) that would give you say 100CR and a cool emblem for the AR. I think that would be pretty neat.

1000 is not enough at all, might as well not even bother at that point all it covers is the next battle pass.

Players want to be able to get credits for the shop, not just enough to make future BPs “free”.

There are still bundles in the shop worth more than 1k credits as it is.

That’s why I went with 3000. It’s one BP + one 1200cr bundle + one 700 or cheaper bundle. At most we are looking at a Battle Pass and 4 500 Cr bundles. For a whole season. That’s totally fair.

Credits through the BP is a great idea. It’s basically letting you choose a reward from the store instead of having the same reward for everyone. More player choice but they can still make a profit.

On the other hand, I hate XP boosts. I wish they got rid of them entirely, perhaps replacing them with small credit allotment. I guess they could provide paid XP boosts for those who want to get BP rewards without playing the game that much. I dont really understand why someone would do that. I’m in the 70s on BP and have never used XP boosts or challenge swaps. I don’t always get all the weekly challenges either. It just seems extremely easy to finish a battle pass before the next one hits without any extra boosts or crazy time commitment.

If soon is 100days then I’m gonna die sooner than I thought… lol

Well I wouldn’t mind at all to get 3000 but keep in mind the game is F2P and if you give each player like 3000 credits for literally nothing how is 343 suppose to make money? It’s probably not that big of a deal but still if you add this up to 100k players each season convert this in earning through normal credit packs and it should look odd

how down bad is this game if were seriously gettin excited over bein able to earn credits

3000 credits is essentially $30.

Right now there are over $1000 worth of cosmetics cycling in and out of the shop daily, and weekly.

Remove the $10 people will likely save for the next pass and we are left with $20. That’s less than 1/50th of the shop we will be able to obtain for free each season.

If we consider that there will likely be just as much stuff added to the shop rotation in season 2 as there was in season 1, and it’s then it’s actually 1/100th of the shop.
