Halo infinite is empty

I think that this game will be great…in a year or 2. Just really unfortunate that it launched the way it did

They better give us something.
And it better be meaningful rewards, not just emblems, backdrops, poses, ai colors, ect
Actual ARMOR

You mean a live service game without any live service?

  1. Forge delayed
  2. Split-Screen delayed
  3. Co-op delayed
  4. Horrible servers/high ping/etc
  5. Broken ranking system that looks at your MMR in social games.
  6. No progression system outside of ranked.
  7. No Maps
  8. No Modes
  9. Battlepass is pointless…

Good news:

  1. Store is updated every Tuesday for you to buy something.

Oh you mean they should have given us a full video game. Yeah, I totally agree. But I guess they’ll be left scratching their heads when literally nobody is playing because for some reason less progression and less modes equates to more players in their minds.

Yeah so you can show off your armor to checks population nobody because nobody cares about this game and the utter lack of custom browser, firefight, etc… Only hinders people who’d want to purchase the armor, because that’s the majority of the spot where you’d be showing it off.

I’ve just stopped playing. The campaign is so empty, the MP feels pretty good, but not being rewarded for playing well just makes it boring.

I like customization. BUT I don’t need progression to play the game. (the amount of customization you get for free is crap but that is besides the point)
The problem is, there is so little content, you burn out too fast. If there were even 2 extra gamemodes, the replayability would increase by like 25%. That is 2 extra gamemodes on 9 maps, that equates to 18 different match types

9 maps x 11 gamemodes (I think I counted them all) comes to 99 unique matches.
9 x 12= 108 (with Attrition)
If I can play each unique match 5 times and then after that I am bored, that is 495 matches I can play, or 540.
Adding just 2 modes makes it 117 or 126.
That is 585-630 matches
That is 24-25% unique match increase and matches I can play before burning out.
10
If we add all of the variants that can be played offline, that makes the total unique matches
9 x 22=198
9 x 23=207

That is 990-1035 matches before burning out.
Why they are holding those variants back I have no idea, but we need them. NOW

Here’s to waiting another month for Tac ops event.

I dont get why popular gamemode like “warzone” and “firefight” are missing. Always found matches in Halo 5 for this 2 gamemodes.
Also ranked objectives. What is the reason, that its not here?
Social has team slayer but not a dedicated objectives playlist.
Really hope that season 2 will have more content like maps and gamemode

maybe there are coming back at some point who knows.
and if there can keep the basic’s from Warzone in halo 5 the same for infinite then its good for me and the same with firefight the halo 5 was better then from halo reach.

‘it’s free to play, god, stop being a greedy consumer wanting a free to play game to actually offer something good. it’s a live service, just be patient. it may have been 6 years, but 343 has the consumers fully in mind, they do care and are working on it’

honestly? despite the fact that infinite is fun… it also feels life less, bland, another f2p bp having copy and paste.
and yeah, sure, past halo games in each match can feel the same, but the old ones (even 5) had personality to them. each match did feel different even if slightly. infinite? it feels the exact same, no matter the map, and no matter the mode.

not gunna lie, i would rather have had Halo 5 ported over to pc and have infinite be delayed even longer, than the current state of infinite. at least H5 is consistently fun

MCC did a good job in some ways for level system but that’s only after waiting like 9 years later after MCC came out.

I think we need levels, I never got to SR152.

Well then you didn’t have to be disappointed when Watchdog was gave to you, and have to wear it like a badge of shame. Looking like a base model Spartan armor skin :frowning:

It needs some kind of replayable coop pve mode like horde from gears of war where you can build defenses in between rounds of at least firefight. Sometimes I like to chill and just blast away. PvP is fun but it’s exhausting playing it 100% of the time. Also, there needs to be rewards for hitting milestones like 100, 500, 1000 sniper headshots. Something that those who are devoted can wear as a badge of their accomplishments. Not the crap we buy from the store that lets everyone know we’re a sucker.

It depends on the modes.
Maybe Rocket Race on maps like Behemoth or having modes such as Firefight (or Warzone) would help, but the lack of maps is also a problem.

Attrition was awful because of how it worked, and the maps it was played on.

I’d like to see larger Firefight maps with a defense building (and maybe upgrading) system like you’re saying.
Maybe you could go around collecting materials to upgrade with, and there could be more enemy and vehicle types on the maps.

I can’t believe there is no progression based PvE…

What’s nuts about this is that all of the things people are screaming for are already in 343’s previous games.

It’s not like Cyberpunk where CDPR had never made a modern open world before with guns and cars etc. It was only their second ever major AAA release so I can give them some slack. With the vision they had I’m not sure anyone could pull it off.

Halo has had everything we want for many years. Surely they knew. What took them six years? The campaign is one biome that’s huge and lifeless. Multiplayer has a handful of maps and the netcode is rubbish. Where did all of the time go?
