There’s nothing unique to infinite, theres plethora of other games that do what 343i is trying to do with infinite, well, infinitely better.
This thing is a mixture of not listening to fans, following trends, taking ideas from other games and making this monstrosity. Seems they are trying to appeal to everyone, you don’t make good games, movies, or anything trying to appeal to EVERYONE. Infinite isn’t for OG fans or newer 343i fans, they’re trying to draw in a new playerbase again.
That’s a really great analogy. And the Halo community is the townsfolk who barely know Frankenstein’s monster but are up in arms with torches and pitchforks forming a mob yelling “It’s hideous!” and “Kill the monster!” and “Take sprint out!”
But maybe if those peasants took the time to get to know ole Frankie they’d really like him.
Well he can hang out with me and my friends any day… As long as he has splitscreen.

Just I’m fairly certain a lot of people wanted a Halo game, not whatever this thing 343i showed.

And those people don’t have to buy the game. But the calls to scrap the game based on five minutes of gameplay are just ridiculous.
Couldn’t this be used to describe basically any game?
The thing is, we got Campaign, and game-play wise I didn’t see a huge problem with it. As long as it is for Campaign.
The issue lies with graphics, Mix in style, sounds effects, and designs. Now I see what they are doing by fusing the styles. Honestly the more I think about it the more I question, why not just use the old art style for just one game.
Within my 10 years of watching 343 stumble, drop the ball, pick it up, and stumble again.
I’ve learned that 343 isn’t the company to find originality. Halo is unique and building upon Halo 3’s game play would be different from the shooters out today.
343 loves to play it safe when it comes to game play. All the while trying to prove that their art direction is what we want to see. (Unless we talking about H4 cortana lol)
Taking Halo 3 and Reach art style, game modes and game play then building upon them isn’t hard considering the amount of time between games.
Art style should blend to 2 games. Multi player: as I said should expand upon Halo 3. Take Reach’s Commendations, Fire Fright, Invasion. Take Halo 3’s Machmaking lobby with both Social and Ranked playlists. Reach’s Armor Customization, Ensure that playable Elites have customizable armor. Build upon Firefight and add more features.
I agree that Halo has to progress in order to stay relevant, as all thing do. But 343 within 10 years has refused to evolve Halo’s classic game play. My disappointment Is high by the visuals of what we were shown. But my Anger Comes from the fact that a leak informs us that what we saw was an old build.
Im hesitant to believe it, because so much lies and misdirection was plagued this series throughout the years.
I recommend that we all wait and see, Its on game pass anyway. 343 has lost the right of pre-order and limited editions from me. They will have to earn that back.

I’m all for Halo 4 Cortana’s design coming back for Infinite, she was the only good design in that game. Oddly enough they went from the best Cortana design in H4 to the worst Cortana design in H5.

Nobody wants them to scrap the game. The game needs to be fixed though. The fact that 343 plans to make this game last the next 10 years is a joke. I admit I am biased because I like classic halo more, but I’m not the only one. The only way this game is lasting anywhere near 10 years is if it has no abilities and is a unique genuine halo game. Look at gears 5. Coalition tried to make it more like cod and slowly release updates. Now there is nobody playing that game and it hasn’t been out for a year. If you liked the trailer and think infinite looks good that’s cool, but you’re in the minority. 343 needs to focus on keeping the halo fans they have and focus less on taking players from other newer games that won’t stick around.

Ones with soulless corporate venture and no creativity in them sure.
