Ideas for Halo infinite.
They are made with the idea in mind that Halo Infinite will be an open world or rpg game.
- Squads: You have a squad of up to 4 people. You start out with marines in your squad, but as you play more of the campaign, you unlock different squad members that you can swap out at bases, such as sentinels, Fireteam Osiris, Blue team, ODST’s, The Arbiter, and engineers. The healing system in halo 5 will be applicable to all except for engineers and sentinels because they can be found about Zeta Halo in forerunner structures. Sentinels are able to open forerunner doors and engineers can repair vehicles. - Wildlife: There are many animals. Some are hostile, some are docile, some are neutral. Docile animals will run away from you or go up to you and be friendly. Neutral animals do not attack unless you pose a threat. Hostile animals will attack you if you enter their territory. Certain neutral and docile animals, such as the Blind Wolf, can be ridden. - Requisite System: Points are earned by killing enemies in the campaign, warzone or multiplayer. Challenges can be completed for extra Req points. Common and uncommon Reqs can be bought in the store, but rare, ultra rare, and legendary Reqs can only be found in a mystery pack, that can only be bought with points and NOT with any real money. Mystery packs cannot give you common and uncommon reqs. - Campaign weapons and vehicles: You can choose to spawn with either an AR, BR, DMR, or Pistol at first. The more enemies and npcs you encounter the more loadout weapons you will get, such as the boltshot, carbine, storm/plasma rifle, suppressor, etc. Power weapons are unlocked too, but can only be accessed by going to a UNSC base. Vehicles can be spawned in at bases or you can hijack enemy vehicles and drive them. Some Halo Wars vehicles will be included such as the kodiak and Jackrabbit. The Kodiak will take the place of the modern Scorpion, where somebody can operate the machine gun separately, and the cannon is controlled by the driver, and has a moderate bullet drop. The Scorpion operates like it did in halo 2 and CE, where the machine gun is operated by the driver and there is no bullet drop. The advantage to the kodiak is that the shells will do more damage and have a larger explosion area. Idea for a new promethean weapon: the “Loopshot” shoots an explosive hardlight round. When the trigger is pulled again, the shot will come back in your direction and disappear before it hits you. This weapon can be used to kill enemies behind cover by exploding behind the barrier when it loops back. - Fast traveling: There will be a unique fast travel mechanic that draws inspiration from Halo Wars. You can fast travel to bases or other places of interest in the inventory. A Pelican will come down to pick you and your squad up. If there are enemies nearby they will focus fire on the pelican. The pilot says “Sorry, Chief. The LZ’s not clear. Pelican out.” and it will leave. There is a cooldown timer of one minute after using the fast travel.New enemies: There are a few new enemies. The Ambushers, or Yonhet, are an amphibious covenant enemy that can wield a needler, plasma rifle, or fuel rod cannon. They are weak but succeed by catching the enemy by surprise by hiding underwater and running out when an enemy runs by. They have weak energy shields and medium health. They cannot melee. The Predators, or Sharquoi, are large
Flood Firefight, I mean if the flood return that is.
Going to close this one off as it’s from a few months ago and we already have a number of active wish list threads
