Halo Infinite - How will The Prometheans look?

We’ve got about a month until E3 starts, which I’m hoping 343 Industries will showcase either a gameplay or story trailer for Halo Infinite. However, this idea has been on my mind for a while now, I’m REALLY damn curious to see what the Prometheans will look like in the game.

A lot of people have voiced that they don’t like the look of the Prometheans because they don’t match the original Forerunner designs from previous games. In Infinite, if the Forerunner designs are going back to more familiar design, then will the Prometheans follow suit?

Even though it didn’t look like traditional Forerunner tech, I did enjoy certain aspects of the Prometheans. Such as their weapons in Halo 4, especially with their dual purpose functionality and how they would form in the player’s hands.

The main idea I’ve had to redesign the Prometheans is to take inspiration from the various Sentinels we’ve seen across the series along with some aspects of the Monitors. This change would help certain enemy types such as the Crawlers and Knights look more robotic and fit in with other Forerunner architecture and technology.

I think the lights and holograms on the Prometheans should also be used to help represent that enemy’s class. Let’s use a Knight for an example. Basic Knights will be coloured blue, while other variants could have white, gold and orange colours to help distinguish units from a distance alongside their designs.

This last bit is an idea that works for both gameplay and artistic, while also serving as a nice reference to Gulity Spark.
When fighting the Prometheans, their movement and behaviour will mostly be robotic and lack any emotion. However, as they take damage and near death, they begin to get angry and their movements become more humanoid. Twitching and shuddering, walking and running looks more smooth and they become much more ferocious.

And here’s where the Guilty Spark reference comes in, lets use the Knight as an example again for this one. When a Knight is about to unleash a deadly attack, like a sword slash, the lights on its face turn to a pure red glow as an indicator to the player that they need to watch out. Just like Guilty Spark with his eye beam in Halo 3.

Anyways, I’m hoping that’s what they’ll look like in Halo Infinite, or maybe 343 has a different idea in mind. We’ll find out soon enough.

Also, to all of you guys that would like to see what these new Prometheans that I discussed and proposed would look like, some talented people have already made some designs online that had inspired this idea. Here’s some links to help you find them:

Crawlers: https://i.redd.it/mz9w7cwzzjr01.jpg

I wouldn’t want to see them change much at all. I would however like to see them alongside the older Forerunner tech. It would be great to get lore about the reasoning behind such a difference in design. Maybe some terminal could enlighten us

This is the first thing my mind went to when I saw the art style change in the engine trailer. I really hope they get a massive overhaul. Their designs aren’t bad by any means but they don’t fit Halo to me. They’re too sci fi if you know what I mean.
