Is it possible that the graphics from the Halo Infinite Hope trailer is being run on Xbox one/X level hardware and the next gen graphics is actually a lot better? Because the trailer seems to have gone for more of an art style rather than making it look realistic which would make sense if they wanted it to run as smooth as possible on last gen hardware. If you compare 360 to Xbox one games, there’s a very big difference. Maybe they were going for more of an art style like borderlands to make things less noticeable between last and next gen?
I don’t think I’m seeing what you’re seeing about the style, maybe the saturated colours are giving off that look?
I really doubt that trailer was running on an XB1, probably ran on a high end PC or a PC with specs similar to what the Scarlett will be.

It looks like a cartoon to me. Something about it doesn’t look real

You should check out the digital foundry analysis of that trailer then make your decision. According to them the trailer packs a massive (graphical) punch!

I agree but they are probably designing the art to for 2 reasons.
- the community asked for it. 343 is showing they are listening and making changes. - because this game is going to launch on XB1, PC, and Project Scarlet, they are designing it to work well on all consoles. Hopefully that means, it will look good on the XB1, and great on XBPS.

Exactly I’m thinking its gonna be like this
1080p/60fps on Og XB1/Slim
Dynamic 4k/60fps on XB1X
Native 4K/60fps on XBPS
