Also, certain affinity is the one making it, as far as I know. so 343 isn’t using their own recources for making other content.

We’ve had game types in Halo before that had limited lives - and they worked well.
We’ve just had a game type with a shrinking zone - and it worked well.
As long as it looks, and plays like Halo. I’m happy to give it a chance.

It’a not about having to much content. Litterally nobody is complaining about that. What they are complaining about is 343i hasn’t shown a single shred of competency with the Halo brand.
- The Halo show being a big L
- Months without maps
- Months without significant content
- Years of failed games
And all of the sudden we are expected to trust 343i when they say it won’t take away from the arena side of the game?
This isn’t just a 343i issue though. Call of duty Battle Royale was touted a secondary feature to the arena but then became priority 1.
The same happened with firestorm as garbage as that was.
While i trust Certain Infinity, I will not trust 343i until they respect the core values of Halo. Which they haven’t done thus far.

I would’ve been happier if the extra resources from Certain Affinity, etc had been poured into making a really strong Season 2 and 3 to flesh out the game (Maps, Co-Op, Forge) BEFORE moving on to extraneous stuff like a Battle Royale. That’s my biggest frustration with it at the moment.

I’m good with a Halo ‘Battle Royale’ mode. I would probably play it myself too, being honest.
Takes resources away from what they should be focusing on, it wont draw back players for long, there is better BRs already out, this games dead. If only 343i could follow it to its grave as well.
343 isn’t the one doing it. It’s Certain Affinity. This game is not dead, no matter how much some of you seem to want it to be for some reason.
@IITetrologyII @TruncateComb6 Since Certain Affinity is doing it, and reportedly have been for two years, they aren’t going to be much help anyway. 343I seems to be picking up the pace stuff, with leaks of forge coming out. And we have also been told that Co-op is coming this next season, which should be three months. A Battle Royale isn’t the worst thing either. Especially if it doesn’t affect weeklies (force the BR players to come to arena).
This directly contradicts the previous 2 statements because it effectively means no content is coming for people who aren’t receptive of the BR, you know, the core audience of Halo Infinite who are here for Halo, not BR.
If your game is entertaining anything but your core audience, you may as well make a fresh IP, because the core audience, the backbone of the franchise, is gonna melt away to nothing. Expecting an ambitious conversion rate of the core audience to the new content is simply asinine.
If you want people to be receptive of the BR, put some effort into making posts, please and thank you. You want people to be receptive of the BR, explain what you think could be coming that could entertain the core audience.

Just no. Adding BR has made every game it has touched worse. It forces dev’s into mindless crunch’s and forces games to focus mostly on one crappy game type.
Saying nobody is forced to play is a ridiculous statement and shouldn’t be used to avoid criticism just because a lot of the community hates the BR mode.

this more or less how i’m looking at it. i might try it once to see how it fees, but i’ve never really liked battle royals. i’ve had some fun in pubg, but it’s never been my favorite. i’m much more of a BTB guy.

my position was always in opposition of people saying that Infinite NEEDED a BR to survive. Halo is Halo, not any of these other games that have been made to churn out money based on a one mode FOMO filled shooter.
Halo doesn’t need it, but that doesn’t mean that they can’t have one. Halo has always Lone Wolves which I kinda treat as the OG BR.
Even tho i dont have to play the battle royale part, i will stop playing Halo Infanite for good if there is one being made.
Well, they are going to be adding new armor each season, which should only be three months due to them saying various times it would be. If they add two maps a season we will have 4 this year alone. Along with armor being added, and fractures.
I admire the positivity but the truth is Season 3 very well could be delayed. Likely getting our third map somewhere between Season 2.
Even with these maps being added this will be the latest we’ve received any content update across the entire halo series. Which is not good for a live service game.
The show’s great. Halo fans have zero taste.
