Hey guys, I’ve been playing halo since halo 3. I even though you guys should’ve delayed the game to launch it with forge and teather mode.
But now I get it. The campaign was the best campaign ever made in the halo series.
Yes, the campaign mode beat my all time favorite halo 3. It was such an amazing experience playing it on ultra. I work a lot for a big company and it was amazing to beat the game in a couple of days
(I’m saying this last part as I see so many beat it much quicker than me when I had to work lots and lots from monday to monday…)
I do hope that there is some ffa ranked playlist and so forth and I understand deployment and possible burn out of the team into making this…
overall, congrats to all the bunch of people that worked on this, you guys had quite a powerfull team!!!
Game of the Year for me in terms of campaign, I’d love to see more snipers on multiplayer games and the comeback of maps like guardian and the pit…
I’d also love to see forge working with bots, so we can make custom games where the bots can make infection really scary for exemple. Maybe for halo:endless if its not dlc? I’m sure the ai dev team is going insane over making this happen, but I’m sure it’s doable!
SO, what did you guys think of the campaign? Which one was better if not this one?
for me it is a solid 10/10 for infinite
here is my rank:
halo infinite
halo 3
halo odst
halo 2
halo CE
halo 4 and halo 5
Congrats on the improvement, don’t stop working now (or do, take a break for the holidays and comeback!) Best of of luck to all of you and please let me know what are you thoughts on this new campaign.

I would definitely put infinite near the top as well! Very fun and I also took my time to thoroughly enjoy it.
(Went a bit longer than I thought. Either way, glad you enjoyed the game)
I can’t put Infinite above the first three. Halo 1-3 were master pieces.
4-5 are at the bottom.
Infinite… can beat out ODST in terms of campaign. (Yet not mood*)
Reach is probably 4th or 5th. For me.
*To understand this you have to understand mood. ODST kept you constantly in this mood. You were a lone ODST trying to find you squad in an over run city. You are not master chief. Even in the missions you are not master chief. Yet even in the missions there was still that weird feeling you had.
In Infinite I can admit the campaign had it moments,
Had great moments, yes. Yet between the missions it took you out of the mood, it didn’t feel as important to do things (the missions). Infinite created too many gaps of breathing space where in a total linear game like Halo 3 those breaks felt different.
I been thinking about this very thing gotta have halo 3 , Reach . 2. Infinite. 1. O.D.S.T. 4 . 5 . That’s my order I got to say I think the atmosphere of O.D.S.T is the best. Didnt feel like a sense of lose in infinite just a more human chief getting the job done.

Been thinking the same! It’s definitely shot straight up the list as one of the strongest for me. I’m a huge Halo Wars fan, so seeing the Banished in an FPS is already amazing to me, and the opening cutscene immediately gave me the Atriox scene I wanted to see. From there, the emotional beats, Chief dialogue (and Grunt dialogue!), and dynamic with the Weapon… it’s all so well done.
From a gameplay standpoint, for me Infinite is the sequel to Halo 3 I’ve been waiting for since '07. From a narrative point of view, Infinite is up there with Halo 2 and ODST.
(Don’t get me wrong, Halo 3 is my #1 game of all time and I adore its campaign, but the plot does have its issues… )
Thoroughly enjoyed every second of this campaign and already diving back in for another playthrough. Hats off to 343i for absolutely nailing this, and already excited to see any story expansions/DLC in the future.
Same!! I really enjoyed it, I think I’d have to put Infinite’s campaign at the top followed by Reach and 2!
Makes me excited for what will come next!
