#1. CSGO has low Twitch viewership as well. Until there is a major going on, nobody watches CS either. But when there is a major going on,. the viewers come…you know what other game that happens in? Halo. CS and Halo are both tournament games. They’re not fun to watch when it’s just ranked matches with 1 pov. Once you have all players POVS and you get to see all the action and the story of the players is in people’s minds, it becomes entertaining. This doesn’t really prove anything because one game has 300,000 players concurrent daily and we don’t know what Halo’s numbers are at currently.
#2. Mouse and Keyboard and controller are not “even” in this game. If that were the case, top players would be split 50/50 between both inputs. We’ve seen the accuracy charts my dude.
It’s right there for all to see,. controller players are, from what the chart says, on average 17% more accurate than mouse and keyboard players? Yeah dude, I can tell you haven’t looked into this at all and are just talking just to talk.
Also yes, at a top level, this game is unplayable. I’m sure if you have low MMR and aren’t very good, and you’re playing other bad players in quickplay, M&K is fine. But if you’re playing crossplay diamond and onyx players. LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
It’s okay that you haven’t heard of them. I’m just saying it seems pretty credible considering this guy has played Halo using PC much longer than I have.
Plus he actually mods some of the weapons in Infinite. He even managed to remove the bloom on the sniper rifle.
I agree with you although I hope we all see your exaggeration of 3-15 every game… but yes if a squad is of 4 high diamond with an onyx, step out of cover and I’m dead in a second
Strawman ad homs aren’t an argument. I want the playing field to be even. Nobody said anything about dominating. The data is very clear. Charts do not lie.
Nope. This is yet another strawman ad hom. The charts don’t lie. Also. I play on controller because I am forced to. So your whole little rant holds no water. The issue is I don’t want to use a controller but I have to.
Except I’ve won tournaments and a good chuck of money from them. Doubt you have.
Simple. Halo Infinite consistently fails to deliver replayable fun, resulting in a situation where you have to find some other aspect of the game to enjoy. From there, the problems mount tenfold.
The lack of content feels worse because you don’t enjoy what you have. The paywalled cosmetics feel egregious because looking cool is now that much more important. The desync feels bad unconditionally and is actively hindering the game even further. So on and so forth.
If not for how unenjoyable the game actually is to play outside of a handful of matches? I’m willing to wager that most of what you listed wouldn’t feel half as important.
To answer your question directly, this game is a husk because it’s hard to enjoy.
You must of just had an unfortunate friendgroup then, none of my 100 xbox friends were like that or the extended community groups I played with. I think that argument could be applied to H3 saying it was a dark time because all your friends wanted to do was boost 50s, or exp grind social and weekends for ranks. There was a subsect that did that, but easy enough to avoid.
Admittedly I played a lot of Reach, to the point I barely completed challenges and still hit inheritor before 2012. But it was because I enjoyed the playlists it offered. If you played 15 hours a week average you would of got to general grade 1 and unlocked everything except a gungnir and security attachment, pestilence and inclement armour effects and haunted helmet within 3-4 months, 6 months tops being generous.
Ah i remember the grind of warrant officer grade 3 i went past it 3 times due to 1. my first account and email getting hacked and i couldn’t recover it 2. Using a account that was on my 2nd xbox as my main until it eventually started requiring the password and 3. When i started my inheritor grind
But as someone already said you must’ve been unfortunate to not have a group of friends who didn’t care that much for matchmaking and played custom games constantly
I had a couple of friends who would be lt colonel playing teacher, cops and robbers , need for speed, speed halo, halo, duck hunt and fat kid for hours and rarely touched matchmaking i also had a few friends wanting to get their armor before going to custom games
I was bored at the maps and the maps rotation, you could end up playing on the same map 3 times in a row. After 3 times on Behemoth the other week I felt like, man Im done with this game.

When a game fails on Steam, it’s not a good indicator of game health either, especially for F2P titles. Steam is THE most accessible platform for F2P titles to break out.[/quote]
Whilst I feel halo is dying and is not doing well I feel your logic is flawed here.
Halo broke out on Xbox. Therefore it isn’t going to follow the same rules as a game released first on steam. Therefore steam figures are an unreliable indicator at best.
