Halo Infinite (Halo 6)

For those of you who seen the E3 Livestream. What do you guys think?
At 1st I didn’t even think it was Halo until the end of it.
My mainy concern, is I need to see our playable elites lol

If you haven’t seen the livestream, here’s the teaser (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=frnjYZ7HD7M)

The game looks marvelous so far with so much detail and it being a polished version of Halo 3, can’t wait to see more!

I love the halo: ce look to it and the open grass fields that give me halo: 3 vibes.

Well at first I thought it would be something like game set on stone age.

Otherwise not much to think about it yet. I just like that the Chiefs armor appears to be more like gen1 though its more of a mix. Though i havent seen the full armor, what was shown seems better than the gen2 at least.

Otherwise, the location could be interesting if its indeed installation 07 given its history though there could be multiple locations given the ships being able to travel for quite the distance.

Also, the marine design could be changed to more pre- Halo: Reach like. The currently shown ones look a bit too much like the Killzonee ISA troopers & I dont think that design is something to be going after. Though the coloration seemed to be more down to earth which is a good thing.

Also, the little hints were a good little touch too with the morse code and perhaps with glyphs and soundtrack choice of “finish the fight” from Halo 3, given if they have deeper meaning behind them.

Its not too deep into “stone-age” seeing how of course the Warthogs work (for a start) and idk too much about EMPs and what their range on disabling electronics are. But from my small understanding, they mainly/only target electrical energies. Anything with an actual fuel or Reactor should be unscathed. It that sense, any UNSC ships that have reactors like the old Paris, Stalwart, & Charon frigates, and Halcyon cruisers should be operational. On another note, that could be an indicator of why chief may have switched armors again. Not confirmed obviously but its a good idea for an excuse XD

His G2 armor was just that, Gen2, hint hint, upgraded. His old armor style could be the cause of the EMPs from the guardians.
Besides that, I didn’t think it was Halo until I saw his helmet. And seeing the entire “map” & its elements. It looks like it could be a “open-world” / roaming game.

I’d love to see playable Elites again as well. Not the monstrous ones from Reach through 5 though. The normal Spartan-sized ones from the original trilogy.

Same, I don’t mind Reach’s. Although, I’d prefer the art style of H2A & HW2. Halo 4 & 5 are just like “What are these? They’re not elites.” lol

In terms of Chiefs armor, that looks more identical to Halo 2 Anniversary’s art style. And the marines can be considered CE

Yeah, I forget who it was but someone made a really good point in a YouTube video.

“Take someone who has never played Halo. Show them a picture of a Halo 5 Elite and ask them if this creature is called an Elite or a Brute.”

9/10 times I’d wager that person would say Brute.

I meant that at first with the deers and “space rhinos” (how many seem to call them including me) the game seemed to be something else than Halo. Maybe like something similar to far cry primal but obviously as soon as familiar sights were shown on screen then it became rather obvious that its Halo.

And some ships definitely work and some might have been at least attempted to repair in secret but the problem is that would the ship(s) get caught before getting away from the location the game starts on.

As for why Chief changed his armor, that remains to be seen. The helmet obviously needed a change given the worst looking fight scene. The armor im not so sure as to what could be the reason for that. I could make guesses but I just want to see the whole armor before making them.

Also, it definitely had some Halo: Combat Evolved “Halo” level and its pre release showcase vibes before the end part which obviously changed it to more of a Halo 3 vibes.

I had extremely strong suspicions it was Halo at the opening seconds.

1: No Halo news for a long time. Quite a strong opening for E3 to start of with an anticipated title. Could as well have ended with it, “hacking” Cyberpunks “hack” of the end of the conference. Showcasing some sort of story element.

2: The music was very Halo-esque.
3: Crashed Pelican interiors
4: Underwater thing was quite Sentinel-like
5: The tent and the boxes and whatnot had a Halo wibe.
6: The Maries
7: The stone rings.

Each thing just cementing my suspicion into certainity.

Mt opinion? It was nice. Can’t say much about it as it functioned more to showcase the engine and what it can do rather than display named characters, story stuff abd dialog.
