Halo infinite graphic settings/Input delay or bug?

I am having this problem with input delay /responsiveness in halo infinite. The problem can be there when I startup the game or it cannot as well. It is very inconsistent. Basically, I startup in a game/academy and I notice that there is slight input delay. I then go into the video settings and change any setting really from high to low, or low to high ( I tend to use animation quality) for my example. All my settings are set to high, then if I change say ( animation quality) and set it to MAX, all of a sudden my input delay is completely gone and my game is super responsive.

But here’s the catcher, when boot up the game again, no matter what settings it lands on, my input delay is increased upon starting up again. I then go back into video settings and NOW I switch another setting ( in this case animation quality back to : auto). My game becomes very responsive with no input delay whatsoever.

Anyone know what is the cause of this? It is very mindboggling that I have to play with video settings every time I boot up halo to get the best responsiveness. Can anyone shed any light to this, or give any advice to give the best responsiveness with no input delay?

There is input delay regardless. Even if it seems better on screen it’s actually not. I’ve not yet found a fix to this issue. It’s worse on Xbox though from what I’ve experienced playing on Series X and PC.

The fix would be competent developers , until the halo franchise fines a new home it will never return to what it was. This was the one chance to save it and like usually failed even with basic fps requirements.

This game is a joke on Xbox. Its a robbery

It has a few perks like red recital and stronger aim assist. But that’s about it.

People compare next generation Mouse and a little thumb stick …
Computers players should play w/ red reticles if only EO didn’t destroyed the game at the beginning…
Now there is a lot more… not only EO…

The thing is, is that the input delay corrects itself after I change something in “video settings”. Does anyone know why it is like this? After I change a graphic setting, controls seem to be more responsive. But it then reverts back the next time I boot up to the game.

The settings stay the same the next time I boot up the game, just not the same responsiveness/no input lag.

I had this issue on pc but I had to change my settings to 120 then had to have gsync enabled in my control panel. Then download CRU and change the frequencies of the hz on my monitor (lowered the max to 120 and raise the low to 60) then change my refresh rate on my monitor to 120. I changed a lot more but that seemed to make a HUGE difference.

I also had to turn on v-sync in the setting on halo too because I was having screen tearing.

I’ve been dealing with framerate dips in game, monitor framerate inconsistency and monitor flicker for a very long time. After research, trial and error I final fixed it.

Now my game plays flawlessly at 120, no flicker and it’s buttery smooth.

I have a pretty decent pc and had all these issues
