With 343 Industries set to reveal the official gameplay from Halo Infinite on July 2020, how much gameplay footage can we expect to see from the new Halo video game? Could we get like a 10 or 15 minutes of gameplay footage from the Halo Infinite campaign levels and multiplayer levels?
Count down to July !

We’ll probably see about 5-10 minutes of gameplay from a mission. That’s usually what gameplay reveals show. Feel like 15 would be a bit much, I’d love to see as much Halo as possible but for a gameplay demo 15 seems a bit long. Need something to fill that space of time. New gameplay mechanics, vehicles etc
Possibly get a multiplayer gameplay trailer too? Maybe a beta announcement alongside that?
July isn’t too far away though! I’m very excited to see what Halo Infinite has to offer
Anyone see the ghost of tsushima reveal? Hoping 343i does something like that, an in-depth view of the world, exploration (If open world) and combat system. Be nice but wont know till July. Also would love a multiplayer beta! A Spartan can dream tho…

I’m pretty sure they stated somewhere that they were planning on running a beta. Can’t back this statement up with a source, though.
The July event is not just for Halo… but all the first party games… so I would think each game would get much more than 5-10 minutes in total. Although that doesn’t mean they can’t release longer videos at the same time.
I want to see… a new trailer / campaign game play. Tease the story and show off the Slipspace engine in all it’s glory.
Multiplayer… enough to answer the key questions. Announce a beta.
Forge… show us what an engine built with Forge in mind can do.

I can back you up. Thet stated there would be flights, pretty much like they’ve done before. I see there being issues though, Covid 19 has thrown a spanner in the works for many developers. I’m hopeful we’ll see a proper series of flights, but I won’t be surprised if we only get a stress test beta near release. Hopefully they will clear things up in July.
A five minute trailer featuring vague cutscene clips, glimpses of gameplay with sprinting and watered-down Spartan Abilities, a new mode for fans of classic Halo, and a release date of (probably) November with no day given.
Halo 5 had a ten minute show and so did H4. One important thing to note however is that those games had the typical three year cycle while the span between H5 and Infinite is the longest wait we had ever. This gives us a legitimate reason to expect a longer demo than the previous games.
The @Halo Instagram account just posted a photo from IGN News in their story saying “Confirmed by developer 343 Industries, Halo Infinite will be part of Microsoft’s Xbox 20/20 July event, though gameplay footage wasn’t specifically mentioned.”
To me, this statement is 343i subtly giving us a nudge that gameplay footage ain’t happening.
I have a feeling that we will get a short cinematic, leading to campaign gameplay. After that we could be surprised with a proper trailer, leading to a title screen announcement of a beta.

Microsoft would be absolutely insane to not show gameplay for Infinite, the “flagship” launch title for the Series X, at their first-party games demonstration.
The console and game will ostensibly be launching within 4 months of that show.
Microsoft, and Ubisoft specifically, already got excoriated for the “gameplay reveal” event last week which featured practically zero real gameplay.
Sony has been dropping extended gameplay demonstrations for their titles for years. Ghosts and TLOU2 were shown TWO YEARS ago and they still haven’t released. Sony doesn’t have to prove anything for the PS5. They already did that with a ton of high-quality exclusive titles on the PS4.
Microsoft has EVERYTHING to prove because a powerful console is irrelevant if it doesn’t have compelling games to play on it. Microsoft has an uphill battle to fight next generation and not showing your flagship title at your “1st party games event” would be more than shooting themselves in the foot. It would be blowing both of their legs off.
I think we’ll get a somewhat similar situation to Gears 5. Multiplayer in July (Xbox 20/20), Campaign in August (Gamescom Opening Night Live digital event), Multiplayer beta in September, launch in November.
Microsoft said about monthly info drops leading up to Series X launch so I don’t think July will be a massive drop of info for Infinite.

I still think Microsoft is making a mistake waiting until July to show off gameplay. Sony is already out here dropping gameplay and engine footage. I feel like people wait all year for the June showing of games and now we have to wait until July. They could have easily show us halo in June.
cant wait, i really want to see what this new halo has to offer.
July is honestly a great outcome given the pressures put on software companies with the COVID virus.
And keep in mind we probably wouldn’t have seen a lot pre-E3 anyway.
Plus Sony is in the same boat. Their various software departments are under exactly the same hammers… so unless we start seeing loads of real time gameplay from AAA PS5 exclusive titles - MS don’t have to panic.

You don’t know that. A lot of work goes into getting gameplay footage and demos ready for E3 ever year. A team at 343 had to work for weeks specifically to polish up the footage you saw in the Discover Hope trailer at E3 last year, because it normally wouldn’t be done yet in their workflow. Throw the pandemic into the mix, and it’s easy to believe preparations for their show got set back.

Why is it a mistake? You can’t even PRE order either next-gen console yet, so showing Halo in June or July sure seems like a distinction without much of a difference. Let Sony do their big show in June, and then Microsoft get to have “the last word” in July. WInning a few news cycles in May or June doesn’t really mean anything, if people can’t put any money down on whatever you’re selling yet.
I get that people are impatient and anxious to see the game. I am too. But that’s distinctly different than thinking not showing it earlier is some sort of strategic error.

Beta or not, After July we will know what to expect I hope.

In regards to the tweet in the first post, I believe that the Halo instagram just retweeted(regrammed???) IGN news’ post as a way to drum up hype for the July event and not because they are subtly saying there won’t be gameplay. I really hope there is because it has been far too long without gameplay.
The second reply I absolutely agree with that xbox has to show gameplay especially with the game coming out mere months from that July event. However, Sony hasn’t really shown any PS5 actual gameplay footage themselves. The Unreal Engine 5 demo, while hugely impressive and definitely a great showing of the PS5 hardware, isn’t going to be a game itself. Sony is doing a great job showing off Ghost of Tsushima though, but that is to be expected considering it comes out in about two months. Again, that should lead to Halo also being shown off at this July event since it is so close to release.
All in all, I am really excited to finally see gameplay(hopefully) for Halo Infinite and I fully expect that we will. Sony will also no doubt show some next gen gameplay soon as well, and honestly, I can’t wait for that either! New consoles are always a super fun time to be a gamer, no matter what console or PC you play on!
I really can’t wait to see what the gameplay will look like from Halo Infinite especially the campaign levels.
