Knowing that it’s supposed to be the singular aspect of the game that matches and raises the quality bar of its previous iterations? I’m the most excited for the new scripting features. People pulled off some super neat stuff back with what he had in Halo 5: Guardians, but there’s a lot of promise with these new additions.
Unused map/mode assets. Not only will they be getting better use at the hands of players, they might even have use at the hands of the developers, who could pull an H5 and build their maps there instead.
(They should still make proprietary ones of course, but that would significantly increase the rate of content creation.)
Some of those strange prototypes found in the game files, nevermind the completed weapons like the scrap turret or the plasma turret holdover from the Campaign.
AI scripting. It’s not exceptionally clear if this is something that was promised for Forge, but it would-- beyond a shadow of a doubt-- increase the potential of Forge tenfold. The swathe of new maps and modes you could make with AI scripting in mind are beyond countable.
They should rip some of the stuff from Halo 5’s Forge for free assets. We already know they did it for a few of their prototype weapons.
None other than the Custom Games Browser itself. Currently MIA and anticipating any sort of news, the CGB would put Forging squarely on the map, just like it did in Halo 5.
Custom Games needs to have more options related to equipment starts. Other than that, no comment.
