As a long time Halo fan, I love the campaigns(even H5) and I do love my share of PvP. Halo Infinite is missing a lot of key features right now. Especially PvE replay ability and PvE outside of campaign. I know firefight is beloved and disliked by many, and many like H5’s firefight approach. I think we need something fresh to Halo. That being a survival/horde mode using the flood. It’s time we have a proper “zombies” mode in Halo. This mode can also be expanded upon by objectives like downloading data from terminals all across the map. This rewards the players with a non-purchasable currency to purchase items it the shop. Now you only get one life. If you die but your fire team is still up. They’ll need to clear a landing zone(LZ) to bring back all deceased fireteam members. Every LZ cleared drops a weapon and ammo cache. Now a LZ will only be able to be activated once every 5 rounds. You’ll be given the option to either respawn your team or extract. Extracting will result in the game ending and all currency earned will be split between the fire team. If you choose to not extract and respawn your fireteam your game will continue. What’s the catch? If your whole fireteam dies then all currency earned will be 25% of the of the original value. Playing on Harder difficulties will reward more currency. Now each wave will get progressively harder and the currency earned will scale accordingly. Other elements could be added as well like running into a squad of marines. You could run into a group of banish or sentinels fighting the flood. The banish will be trying to extract an artifact. Steal it. The sentinels will help your fireteam fight the flood unless you attack them. In which case they’ll attack you as well. Clearing a LZ with marines or an artifact will extract the item or marines automatically. Rewarding bonus currency per round. These can randomly spawn at the start of the round or not spawn at all.
