My friend and I are trying to play the flight together but the game gives him a notificaton in the top right of the lobby screen saying “offline”. During PvP times when he goes to multiplayer he still cant que for anything due to this. No idea how to fix this, and sometimes it will read “transitioning” and then will go back to offline. This is during the PvP windows and is isolated to the flight as he is obviously not offline as we have played other things, in discord, etc. My guess is its an issue connecting to Xbox Live service on PC or the servers in general? Has anyone else had this issue?
I’m suffering from this issue as well, I can’t connect to multiplayer or even get past pushing the multiplayer button because i get an error bug.

Haven’t solved the issue yet, but one step in the right direction that was made was once you get to the main menu hit ESC, press F to “Sign Out” and then close the game down. Once you relaunch the game, it will have you sign back in and that helps to some degree. For my friend it now gives him a “you are unauthorized…” error, but this one has been acknowledged by 343 as a bug that is affecting multiple people.

At this point I’ve done everything, close and restart , uninstall, reinstall, steam key again, double check permissions, triple check, scour the forums, and known bugs an glitches. Nothing is changing, i’m still stuck in this bug loop.

I’m not seeing a fix on this even now, its a little ridiculous at this point. I’ve even tweeted certain staff members to see if they have an answer, something tells me they will not fix this because they are too focused on their successes with this flight which sucks for us. I used to play Halo competitively and I have raised over 30k in charity work with my gaming, i don’t think i can play this game for any charity work as its too unstable, and I’m starting to believe that this game is going to have a VERY bad launch, something akin to cyberpunk 2077.

yes indeed i was able to to the same thing with the store, i loaded up a second computer(thank god) and i was able to get into multiplayer for about 2 hours, when i then tried switching back to my main rig which is a monster pc nothing changed, still cannot play on main battle pc, which is sad. that being said when i was online people were wall hacking and someone even offered me a aim bot addon for my mouse so we can cheat to victory, i declined, but still the absolute state of this beta was terrible, the devs will celebrate but this beta was far far far from perfect, they aren’t doing their best work i believe, its biased but i’ve been apart of this franchise since the beginning and i’d like them to do it correctly. This is looking like at launch it may be as problematic as cyberpunk 2077.

It wasn’t 3 days ago when it was posted, and the flight has only been over for four hours at the time of this post, it was still open fifteen hours ago, without matchmaking.

Hi. I hace the same problem. When I start de game there´s a sign that says “Offline”, when I go to the store says that: “Please conect to online” Also I can´t play the Academy. Did you found a solution guys?
Just started seeing this. The current flight session ended, but that shouldn’t cause the offline status. Hoping it’s fixed by the next session.
I had the same issue. Says I was offline and couldn’t play Academy. After restarting my PC it fixed the issue.
I just restarted my console and it worked.
Ya im on xbox series x and it keeps saying im offline. Ive tried closing and re opening. Was working not to long ago
