Halo Infinite Flight: My Feedback & Bug Reports

Obviously this is going to change over the weekend as I play more.

Gameplay

  • Aim-assist feels very weak on gamepad. I understand the MCC has caused some friction with MKB players because of how strong the gamepad aim-assist is, but this feels like it’s gone too far in the opposite direction. If I’m fighting with the crosshair to track bots due to stick movement that worked fine in Halo 3, Reach, 4 etc. but is now leading to over-corrects, I already know I’m going to get my butt whooped in direct PvP with MKB players. It is vital to get this feature balanced correctly when crossplay is happening.Menus & UI

  • User interface when navigating customization options feels too large and claustrophobic on a PC monitor. It’s my personal opinion that the icons could be made smaller, which would allow for more cosmetics to appear on screen and make navigation less tedious. - Far too many sub-menus within sub-menus. For example, lore details of an armor piece or coating being hidden away when there’s unused screen real estate that could easily house a text box while you hover over the item in question. - Weapon coating menu was initially very confusing for me, at least in this build. With coatings being the only currently available option, I wasn’t expecting them to be inside their own sub-menu within a menu. Maybe this’ll change with the full release when/if weapon attachments are a thing? - So far, I’m having no issues differentiating from friend and foe with the new outline system.Audio & Sound Design

  • Please do not make open mic the default. Nearly every match has given me teammates hot micing with background chatter and dogs barking. - Post rock soundtrack is incredible, and the taster music I’ve heard in this flight alone is the best this franchise has seen since Marty. Major props to those involved.Bugs & Technical Issues

  • In the prostheses menu, models do not visibly change when going from Transhumeral > Transradial > Hand. For example, if I choose the Transradial option first, and then choose Hand, the model will not change to reflect this. But if I go Hand first and then Transradial, the model will change. This also sometimes happens with armor pieces, but seems less common. - Game isn’t saving control setups or select options in Video on exit. When the game crashed and I rebooted, my control setup was reverted from Bumper Jumper back to Default. Graphical settings were reverted to the Custom Default.
