Halo Infinite Flight: GTX 980ti Unsupported?

So I got super hyped today because my friend FINALLY got me into the flight with the friend code! I felt I should’ve received an invite myself, but alas I did not despite following all the proper guidelines. Anyway I’ve been trying to load into the Infinite Flight on Steam, and it’s simply crashing every time just before it reaches the main menu…? I hear the glorious music, and then it glitches out and says something along the lines of “HaloInfinite.exe Has stopped working must close program.”

After the flight in July had already concluded, I read an article that said GTX 900 series cards were not supported in that flight for whatever reason. I’m just wondering if they’re still unsupported for the current flight? I’m not sure what else could be wrong. I am pretty absolutely livid at the possibility of my card not being supported despite packing the power to easily run the game. Can someone confirm or deny this for me so I can reassess my existence… I am very frustrated that I can’t play the flight, and that’s a severe understatement. PLEASE TELL ME MY CARD IS SUPPORTED! PLEASEEEEEE I JUST WANT TO PLAY HALOOOOOOOOOOOOO

That’s the exact issue I had in the July preview so it sounds like that still hasn’t been fixed. Sorry.

I’m also having this issue, so hopefully it is on their radar.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news folks - while the major issue from flight 1 with 900 series cards was fixed, there were some other late game tech issues with those cards that cropped up meaning they’re not supported for this flight. If you have an Xbox console available you will be able to play on that, but not with your 900 card. Sorry.

That’s such a -Yoink- excuse. I could play the horrible excuse of a launch that Cyberpunk 2077 on high at 60+ fps with my 980 Ti, but this game won’t even launch?
I’ve yet run into ANY modern game that I couldn’t run at high settings(1080p) with 60+ fps. It stomps on any 1050 Ti, so it being “old” is a poor excuse.

Even tiny indie studios manage to make even older generations of cards work.

There is no excuse here. There was a tech issue that cropped up late game and it couldn’t be fixed in time for the flight. Those issues should be resolved by launch

? this is a tech test, the game isn’t out for another 3 months, they just said the issues should be resolved by launch.
